Fasted Cardio for Type 1 Diabetics

Hey Gang, what are people’s thoughts (preferably with science and or experience) with folks doing fasted cardio in the morning if you have type 1 diabetes. the consensus so far is that the “dawn” effect of the liver kikcing out glucose provides enough to get through a workout, but is it safe? does anyone have a protocol I could look at?

I have type one.
Like anything else you just need to try it cautiously and test your blood sugar and see what happens. There are no absolute answers in this.
That said, if I did it I wouldnt do anything more strenuous then walking because anything more strenuous exercise would make my blood sugar up because I wouldnt have any insulin in my system at that time. So, I would need to inject a little bit of insulin but that might require me to eat something anyways lol. That and I would eat breakfast right afterwards and need to inject more insulin for that obviously. Generally stacking insulin like that is a little risky.

I would supplement (eat) at a few grams of glucose before workout… A tootsie roll?
