Brett have a great trip will sorely miss your humor and inspiring trainning
Take Care Brett. Your lifting and your humour will be sorely missed.
Good Fortune!
Look forward to your return.
Confession…I’ts been 290 days(ish) since my last workout! My longest layoff in 23 years and I’m itching to get back under the weights.
I’ve just started reading a few logs and am getting really inspired. Where’s all the old faces though? Did something happen?
I’ve lost a fair bit of weight while away, mainly in the legs, they’ve really atrophied. I’ve lost over a stone and gone down three belt notches too. I’m gutted, I’m naturally skinny and had to work really hard to gain that mass, but what makes it worse is that everyone says I look much better! Bastards! what do they know?
I’ve been doing a fair bit of hard labour over the last couple of months (digging up and concreting floors, lifting stones, moving boulders with a bar etc) and have hung on to most of my upperbody mass, but I guess all that stuff doesn’t require much legs.
I should be back home and lifting by the end of next week. Let’s hope there’s something to this muscle memory. Counting the days…
Signing off…

Good to see you back, Brett. I took a long layoff as well, but it felt great to get back into it, even in a substantially weakened state.
Hey, I noticed you were back. I was trying to catch you on squat and deadlift at one point and then you just disappeared!
Can I ask how long it took you to get your strength back? Be kind, give me hope.
I’m thinking of doing a 1rm test first day back because I’m interested to find out exactly how much strength I’ve lost and it will give me some numbers to base things on.
FB I have no doubt you will get the REP KING Title back ASAP!!
Welcome back. You’ll be back to being a stud in no time.

I took about 14-15 months off and I’m still not back to where I was, but I also cut almost 50 lbs. from when I started back in. I’m hoping to have my strength levels back within the 1 year mark, but with me about 50 lbs. lighter.
Hey Brett, ya big STUD!
Glad to have you back.
Brett! Awesome to see you back! You’ll be back and beyond in no time.
I cannot tell you how happy I am that you have returned.
Welcome back bud!

I remember raving about your quads.
Here’s to the rebuilding process!
Hey Brett, good to see your back. Onward
So did the Farmer just drop in for a cameo or is really back? I think he may have pulled an Alfred Hitchcock on us.
Thanks for the welcome backs everyone.
I’m finally home and my first session back on Monday will be…wait for it…squats! Why break the habit of a lifetime eh?
I’m really looking forward to it. I feel like a child on Christmas eve.
