Fantasy Football

Yea latest news is that Rexy got the nod due to his play, Shanny is going to try to win no matter what. I still hope they suck donkey balls and the franchise is set back for years, but that is just fandom.

I would never say on a public site that I gamble over the internet. But theoretically if I did, I would’ve placed a lot of money on the under-6.5 wins for WAS. You know, if gambling were legal.

It’s that squeak toy voice of Fran Charles that irritates the fuck out of me to no end. I can’t watch telecast’s when he is hosting. I really really hate that guy.

Jamie Dukes is a turd.

Some people bet avatars but only one had the guts(so far) to pay up and it was awfull

Had my main league’s auction (16-teamer) last night. Feeling pretty darn decent about the squad even though I made a fairly significant budget blunder at the WR2 and TE spots - spent $25 on both, when the plan was either/or - but I can’t be too mad at B Lloyd and J Finley there

Another manager was able to secure both A Foster and A Peterson. needless to say, the rest of his roster (outside of B Marshall) is nothing special but it does highlight the endless possibilities that the auction-format provides

hey guys, i just saw this topic, thought I’d ask for suggestions. Jeremy Maclin and Brandon Jacobs, or Tim Hightower and Ochocinco?
I would go Maclin and Jacobs.

Dont even know if Chad makes the team, Hightower might be a sleeper with Shanny’s style running game.
Chad will most likely make the team. With Welker injured and Tate probably being dropped, they will NEED all the help they can get in the recieving slot. With that being said, Id still go Maclin and Jacobs.
Welker has said he is okay, have you heard something different?
Ya I noticed he said that as well. I just wasnt sure at first. But he did participate in practice today so Im sure he will be fine for Wk 1.

Btw DJ, you mentioned that you have or had RedZone. Does it show only live footage of teams in the “redzone” or do you get to pick what game to watch? Would you say its better than Sunday Ticket? I went to their page but it didnt really help.
NFL channel has its own RedZone, that I do not watch.
Sunday Ticket has a RedZone which I do watch, they flip it around.
8 Straight hours of NO COMMERCIALS
NFL channel redzone has commercials
Now this is only if the Texans or Cowboys are not playing, other wise I watch there game.

Good to know. Thanks

I think chad will for sure make the team, i think he will have a good year. Now given how NE runs their O i would rather maclin and jacobs, but hightower is said to have a breakout year, but then again everyone will be loading the box versus the redskins. Maclin had that scare this offseason but if he comes ready to play i think hell have a big year, and i have maclin and jacobs, and im awesome.
You think people will load the box against John Beck throwing to Santana Moss and Jabar Gaffney? Why is that?
When a team loads the box it is to stop the run, therefore they have no faith in the passing game so they drop noone back to defend it, basically. So what i was saying is they will load the box to stop hightower running the ball, in effect thinking beck/rexy cannot make the passes they need to make. I stand by my comment that made 100% sense. Does that make sense? not being a smart ass just wondering if i got the point across.

If you had to pick one of the other teams in our league to use for the season, whose would it be?

I’d take Cookie’s Monster (although Thomas and Miller scare me)

I should be updating the league homepage every couple of days with polls and videos. Some of your wimps need to take a crack in the smack talk thread, step up your game.

For those of you who play fantasy and want to keep tabs on our league, here’s the homepage:

http://games.espn.go.com/ffl/leagueoffice?leagueId=101380&teamId=1&seasonId=2011

*Not sure if you’ll be able to see it if your not a member, but thought I’d throw it up anyways.

I was being sarcastic, of course teams will load the box haha

Speaking of… “load the box” sounds like a great title for a football-themed porno

Which NFL stars do we want in it?

Megatron and All Day would probably be good people to start with…

I’m thinking Tank Williams

Well my team made it through pre-season uninjured and I even had a starting running back serve a jail sentence and get out in time!

Well DJ, how do you feel about your QB situation now?

Kerry Collins for the win.

I figure to have a shitty start but come back from the dead.

I’m still pissed I missed this draft, I was looking forward to it for a while. Hopefully I will be able to get in on T-Nation 2012 draft. The group of folks I’m abroad with want to do a draft, only one of them has played FF before so this could be interesting. What are yalls thoughts on P. Manning and his injury?

^ Well it sucks donkey balls, cause the TNation auto draft picked him for my QB.

Thus I have to start Kerry Collins.

Other than that Go Texans.

P. Manning’s rehab is going slow… but i think he’ll be back sooner than later… he’s still a top 10 qb IMO…
