Do Scottish people get along with Irish in general? Serious question I mean I have yet to travel abroad in life been raising kids to long. However the family tree done by the grandmother has us as descendants of Scotland. Would like to go visit someday.

Speaking in broad generalities Irish and Scots do get along. We share a dislike for the English, red hair, shit weather and a love of boozing. A lot of people in Ireland support Celtic a Scottish soccer team from Glasgow. It was set up by Irish emigrants as Catholics weren’t allowed to play for Rangers, the Protestant team. Beyond broad similarities its like asking do Americans and Canadians get along, some will and some won’t.

I was in NY in the summer of 07, bought a Chiefs jersey solely because it was the nicest looking one in the store. Almost went with a Giants jersey. Randomly came across football on TV that Autumn, enjoyed it and decided to support the Chiefs as I had the jersey.
Football is growing in popularity over here, but fans would still be quite rare. Most of my friends would watch the Superbowl but I only know 3 people who actively follow the sport. Most of the Uni’s have football teams, though its low level. Most of the really big guys play Rugby here. A few sports bars show the games on Sunday.
