I think what the OP is saying is> why people comment and like dumb shit, like a ‘‘XX new pop-album’’, or ‘‘I look pretty today LOL’’, or ‘‘Just had lunch :)’’.
My gut reaction is always to comment: SO FUCKING WHAT?, but I don’t bother to actually do it. And when people react positively to crap like that, it really makes you think. Are you a freak for disliking something so many people like?
My own statuses, both in english and my native language, rarely go over 10 likes. I have well over 300 friends, and I update somewhere around once a week. The thing that gets me though, is that I only post statuses that I think are REALLY relevant/witty/funny. And they still get less feedback then statuses about who got drunk with whom last night.

Dixie is the only person on this site that has my facebook and if he hasn’t already blocked my status update,they can be either very inspiring (1 Beer) or very deranged and psychotic (5 Beers).
