(I hate the NY Times, but I don’t think they would bend this story)

Main Point:

Hillary spent 11.4 Million of her OWN money towards her Presidential Race.

Mitt Romney spent 44 Million of his OWN money.

(Don’t know what McCain and Obama spent)

Notice I said OWN money.

Now, why the fuck would someone pay this much money for a job that pays only $500,000/year?

I know damn well I wouldn’t pay up to 22X’s the salary I was gonna make for any damn job in the world.

So…They obviously want the nomination for something other than the salary. Could it be to set up the system in their favor? (No Shit)

Why the fuck do we (Americans) let this happen, and is there anything that can be done to stop it?

Just makes me sick that this much money is being spent to get into power to “help the people” when that money would have gone a long way to REALLY helping the people.

Well, look at bill clinton. he’s made a gazillion bucks since he’s been “out” of office. book deals,speaking fees.alot of other crap. plus you don’t think there’s $$$ slipped under the table??

You know well before regular people where and when to invest $$.oh yea forgot about the power too. also the 11 million can probable be written off on taxes.

If I had that kind of money I would spend it in a heartbeat to become president.

If I had that kind of money I would use it to move as far away as possible from anyone who would ever vote me into any position of power whatsoever.

Not everyone is strictly motivated by money. All those people are rich and will continue to be rich even after spending the large sums.
