What type is everyone eating? I’ve tried the original (and original low sodium), the bran for life (what I currently have in the freezer), and the multi-grain and wonder if any of the other kinds are worth trying out.
The kind with the orange label over it. Today I got the wrong one, the purple one, that is like Cinnamon Raisin or some shit. But really even that is not bad for you, all the extra stuff is: organic rasins, and organic cinnamon (no added sugar).
Great stuff, I’m actually eating it now It’s the only bread I eat.
One thing, while it is lower glycemic than most bread as advertised on the bag, as with all bread toasting or otherwise cooking the bread will increase the GI.
This of course is offered with the fact that the GI is somewhat arbitrary.
Anyway, as the most current Tmuscle article on nutrition suggest, sprouted grains have a host of benefits beyond that of normal grains.
There was an article I believe it was even on this site that said Freezing bread lowers the GI and toasting the bread lowers the GI. I’ll see if I can relocate it.
Thanks for correcting me Enders. I remembered the GI affect backwards. If you toast it or freeze it (and all the Ezekiel bread I can get is frozen), this significantly LOWERS the GI. Here’s the article:
