Extreme High Estrogen Levels in Blood

Hey,

I divided the thread to 3 parts:

Part 1 - Intro.
Part 2 - Disappointment.
Part 3 - Actual problem.

Choose where you’d like to start from

=================================

I’m new here.
I live in Israel and the medical system here is the worst you could find.
I’ve always had passion for body building, addiction and obsession.

If anyone would ask me what is my first priority in life, I’d say body building.
I would say nutrition too.

I studied supplementation and nutrition in university and I’m a personal trainer for a living.
I had clients who I transformed successfully.

I always wondered why I’m not gaining any muscles or losing any fat.
At first I thought it was my nutrition, then supplementation, then my workout regime.

That’s why I studied nutrition / supplementation / physiology+Kinesiology (to be a personal trainer).

Because I was so into bodybuilding and wanted it so bad, I went to study it for years.

Nothing helped, then I knew it was something in my hormones.

=================================

I had a blood test done and my T levels were 6 and my Estradiol was 240.
Exactly the opposite of what I should have.

Not to mention that I had problems with my thyroid and other stuff.

Steroids are NOT allowed in Israel.
They can NOT be prescribed by doctors.
You can NOT get them through pharmacies or privately.
Doctors do NOT want to get involved with it.

I begged my endocrinologist / urologist to get me some steroids from abroad.
They said “NO, we are not helping you, get out now”.
They didn’t even give me some simple pills to treat estrogen.

There comes the name “Sad Body Builder”.

I’ve always been surfing this forum the community is quite nice.
Today I finally decided to sign up.

Today someone offered me an Anti-Estrogen, this guy does business privately in a black market.
He said “If it reduces Estrogen levels, then it automatically raises T levels slightly, not significantly but can still help”.

I said, even if it slightly helps, I’ll take it!
I asked him what is the ingredient in anti-estrogens and he said “The ingredient is Estrogen”.
Then he said “It can suppress estrogen production by the body”.

It sounded kinda weird to me that to reduce estrogen I’d need estrogen, lol.
Any side effects to it?
Is it true? Do some of you take Estrogen to suppress Estrogen?

Thanks

so this guy basically wants to sell you birth control pills?

Don’t do it.

Take steroids if you wish (although chances are you’ll end up on TRT - self medicated by the sounds of it - for life), but I really don’t advise taking oestrogen.

I am really osrry about your situation. How was your LH, FSH and thyroid?

Hi!

I just asked him about the name of the product and he said “Tamoxifen”.
I lol’d when he said it has Estrogen, I looked up on google and it simply has Tamoxifen, the guy was wrong.

So if it’s not Estrogen-containing product, do you think Tamoxifen may help?

Thanks for the quick reply btw
I knew I wouldn’t regret signing up for this forum!

Hey bro! thanks!
My doctor didn’t test me for LH, FSH.
My thyroid problem appeared last year, but it seems to be gone now.
So at this moment I wouldn’t worry about it, unless it comes back.
It used to be low, now it’s in normal ranges.
Thanks for replying!

How do you know it’s in the normal range if he didn’t test it?

A year ago it was low.
6 months ago it was normal again.
So this time he didn’t test me for Thyroid because he thinks my Thyroid is still the same as 6 months back.
Like I said > Medical system here is the worst!.
Doctors are not educated well, do not consider important things such as timing of blood test and stuff.

My doc said “It doesn’t matter if you check for T at morning or night”.
I argued with him, but then left with a facepalm.

Also, u know what’s funny?
My endocrinologist said “Testosterone got nothing to do with muscle mass, strength, fat burning, bone density or mood. You just read crap on the internet, just don’t read stuff on the internet”.
I had to face-beat myself for the idiocy that was said.

In short : I’m alone in the battle.

Tamoxifen can assist in restarting your natural production. I successfully restarted twice on it (40mg a day for a month), then most recently, took it at a low dose (5mg a day) for years to keep natural production going.

And - in a sense - it is estrogen. It basically binds to estrogen receptor sites, keeping the naughty estrogen off them. A benefit of this is on the pituitary, where one might see an increase in LH, and potentially testosterone, from taking it.

Hi Jim,
Thanks for replying

So yeah I’m just going to buy it.
By the way, for your information, I’m not taking ANYTHING else.
No steroids no nothing, so do I still need 40mg a day?
Another friend of mine told me to take 5mg a day if you’re on nothing but I’m really confused.

Also, do you think it can help me lose water weight? Because I’m puffed! I also hold a lot of fat on my butt due to high Estrogen levels.
(As I was told).

Last question (sorry! I’m just curious/afraid) :
Can Tamoxifen interrupt SSRI?
I take 15mg Lexapro.
When’s the best time to take Tamoxifen?

THANKS SO MUCH!

Sad BB,

Have you also considered making dietary changes? As a testicular cancer survivor I can relate to you low test issue. My test was measured very low after the removal of the tumor, testicle and chemotherapy and almost immediately I was offered TRT. Now five years later I still have NOT taken TRT and I believe that it is due to my diet that I have been able to hold off.

I won’t go into too many details as to why but I have noticed positive effects from eating 3-6 eggs (fertile) a day. 1 lb of full fat beef with onions and spinach 4-6 times a week. 1 avocado a day. Cream in my coffee. I eat a few cups of broccoli in an effort to lower estrogen. I smother it with real olive oil and butter from grass-fed cows (Kerrygold).

Now, it’s not been perfect and I’m not in the shape I was before I had cancer but I’m also 46 and going through a high stress situation (divorce/custody battle). SO my suggestion would be to try the dietary changes first before trying Tamoxifen. Try a medium-high fat, moderate protein and high vegetable diet for a while (potatoes and occasionally rice is fine too).

Another reason why I’m cautious with recommending Tamoxifen is that in some users it can cause libido issues because it to strongly reduces estrogen and since you are also using a anti-depressant I’d be cautious. Now, if you are going to use it anyway, 20 mgs is more than enough.

Also, some people prefer Clomid as it seems to prevent the libido issue. With Clomid a low dose of 10-15 mg a day can be taken for a long time without any side effects. This dose was enough to raise Testosterone to healthy levels.

However, try to improve your diet first and then add the supplements to it. Give it some time. You are young. Plenty of time to add drugs to the mix.

Good luck,
