To my understanding to kill wolverine you must use this special katana that is forged with the soul of its maker. Recently wolverine used it to kill sabertooth by chopping his head off. The sword disrupts the healing factor and they die.

Actually the adimantium retards his healing factor. It slows it down. after it was removed by Magneto, it was more ramped up, making it tougher to kill him.
What if Wolverine needs an operation? How do you keep him from closing back up once you make the incision?

Yup, i recall this turns out wolverine’s body was constantly healing to survive the adamantium bonding process and hence hes one of the few who survived it.
Something to do with logan’s body stopped being able to produce red blood cells because all his marrow had been hermetically sealed with the indestructable metal.

Very true, but without the adamantium, he isn’t shit. His only weapon are bone claws and they can easily be snapped. He’ll heal faster, but he’ll get ripped a part a lot quicker.
