Total bullshit. We are not on the brink of any major discoveries that will reverse aging or prevent death. And if we were, why stop at 1000? If you can extend the human lifespan by a factor of 10, why can we not expand it infinitely?[/quote]

Land.

Imagine being married to the same woman all that time. I would be praying for death. 50 years is hard enough, but 950 years…

1000? god you’d be on your billionth face lift

It is total rubbish unless they find a way to completely rewrite our DNA in a living human being.

As we age our DNA gets damaged.

Exposure to cosmic rays screws us up - that is a major influence on life span.

Average lifespan say 80 years, you put that same person in space - it is now 40 years. Halved. Why? because without a whopping planet to shield us from cosmic rays we are exposed to double the amount = degenerate.

So they either have to shield us from it or develop a way to fix all the damage done.

They also need to change all preprogrammed aging

They might do it not in our lifetime

I guarantee increase lifespan to 300 years and you are going to see some horrendous wars to wipe people out, and a lot of culling of the undesirable

Would you train differently if you lived to 1000 years old? Think of all the aches and pains you would accumulate over 1000 years of training.

I bet you’ll still hear “hard gainers” complain how they’ve been training for 900 years and they’re still skinny.

Imagine the state of the body at 1000, once you get past 80, you start to look… well no explanation is really needed, but damn 1000 would be terrible.

You’d have to look like you are in your prime, could not live to 1,000 without total regeneration of everything

haha on the hardgainers … 900 years and no gains - ain’t that the truth
