You need steadier T levels and should avoid large peaks that create a lot of E2 the drowning in that E2 as T levels drop.
There are a lot of considerations other than T, you can do this yourself as you suggested.
Do consider Vit-D3 intake and thyroid/iodine issues. See last paragraph in this posts. Vit-D3 → VitD25 which is a vital steroid hormone and fT3 is critical to energy levels.
