The put their pelvis where the shins would go, their upper back against the front the seat, then they thrust upwards
A fused movement arm for training the hips is most likely a mistake. We walk 1 step at a time. We with strides one-leg-at-a-time. One hemisphere of the brain controls the other side generally. Think in terms of a stoke victim.
Bilateral gluteus insufficiency is problematic with fused arms for glute training.
Therefore the Nautilus Duo-Poly Hip & Back is head and shoulders better, and provides full range of movement, variable resistance (cam), and ungoverned speed of movement.

I always liked that machine, as it helped me manage my low back pain. But I havenāt seen one in a gym in 40 yearsā¦
My last gym did have this: Hip Extension Multi Hip Machine Standing - YouTube
AA,
The Nautilus machine that never got itās due!
Will the akinetic bar from a multi-biceps machine fit on the hip & back weight stack?
can you help me build one i need to make my own but have very little understanding of the cam shape on wood
I shaped the two 1.5" thick plywood (two 3/4" plywood pieces glued together) cams like those on the Nautilus Pullover machines I used from the 1970s forward. The way I have the weight stack is such that the load on the lats is brutal. Then I added a cable pulldown to the front of my āBohicalusā machine - again I can vary the maximum load not because I use my wooden cams for this exercise but because of how the pivotal wood weight stack is setup (and the cable and chains, the particular chain link selected is predetermined by me for maximum load at lats contraction). Then I added another wood structure to the Machineās front to create a means of doing leg presses and calf raises and they are simply brutal - I do not need too many barbell plates! Then later, on the back end of my āBohicalusā Machine, I added removable āarmsā to the pivotal weight stack to permit doing bench presses (flat, incline, decline), shoulder presses in a couple brutal ways), deadlifts, etc. In the back end of this Machine I can also do upper back work like pulldowns, standing cable upper back pullovers, etc.
is there any other mode of communication we can have? like something instant messaging because iv wanted to ask you about this for a long time

OK is this like a blackberry or something?
Have you tried Ken Hutchinās Trunk Extension protocol performed on a modified Nautilus , Life Fitness or Cybex Low Back machine ? This movement works the glutes and lower back better than the Duo Hip and Back IMHO. I have owned a low friction DH &B and tried every variation I could think of and I still believe Kenās hybrid movement to be superior. If someone could post or knows of a video showing this exercise, please share.
Thanks
Ken Hutchinsās āFanny Blasterā was the SuperSlow retrofitted Nautilus lower back followed by a retrofitted Nautilus adduction and abduction machine.
From āThe Ultimate Exercise Protocol ā
how about doing abductions on a plate loaded preacher curls machine?
what was his fanny blaster routine?
