Alas, the burden of proof is on the claimant…and the claimant is the one saying it IS possible, or the truth. That claimant is you. Now, a global flood, to cover the tallest peaks would need to be over 2 miles in depth. So, what you’re saying is that it rained for 40 days and 2 miles deep of water magicaly built up and this water somehow came from where? God water?

Ok, let’s say god poured the water down…prove god first, then tell us how he did the water thing. But, I’ll keep this alive for a minute and follow up with where did all this water go?

Let me tell you where it went. In those days they thought the earth was flat, and the consensus was that the water draqined out through a hole at the center of that flat earth. It sounds like a joke, but unfortunately this is what primitive tribespeople thought.

No on to the ark of noah. 2 of each animal…dont give me any modern day babble…in the OT it says 2 of each so it MEANS 2 of each (unlike gilgamesh epic, which the bible flood story is totally ripped off from). How big must the ark have been to carry 2 of all the animals existing on the world of that day.

But wait, the bible goes on to give us exactmeasurements of this boat- a woefully undersized construct unfit for the task. It would have to be a million times the size of the largest luxury liner ever made to carry the half of them. What dd these animals eat fpr 40 days? I have 3 cats who can go through a box of food or more in a day- imagine how much 2 of each animal must eat over 40 days…2 elephants, 2 hippos, 2 crocodiles…and wat of the aquatic animals?

Was this rain salt water or fresh? Thats important because a deluge 2 miles+ deep of any one type of water would have killed off all fresh or all salt-water species. Did noah also bring aboard 2 of each type of whale? Who disposed of the waste? Was there a crew of several tens of thousands of men to atend to these animals?

How did the ark move? did it have sails or did slaves row at banks of oars? or was it a dead calm scenario where it sat in one place the whole time? 40 days of rain must have had the crew working double duty with the buckets, bailing out tons of water daily as it filled up the lower decks. Damn, this must have been quite a sight indeed…

What a joke- if you believe the shit in the bible I got a bridge in the sahara I want to sell you - cheap too.

BTW, Pot, meet kettle.

You’re doing it again. You can only disprove something if it has commonality with some objective standard. A faith-based view does NOT share or accept the same premises as does evolution.

Evolution is based upon observation and induction. Creationism is based upon SOME observation but its initial axioms are not perceptually based. It is DEDUCTIVE (from the concept of a Creator) as opposed to inductive.

If you want to prove that perception is THE ONLY source of all knowledge, then have at it. Philosophers have wrestled with that for thousands of years. Think Immanuel Kant!

You take over HH. I got to warn you though. You’re going to have a semantics nightmare trying to argue philosophical reason with these two clowns. I went straight for the jugular(“facts”) and got the “I’ve got a rebuttal so I win” response, no matter how illogical & unreasonable their replys were.
the only vein you have ever went for, is the one in my cock you dumb bastard. It certainly wasn’t the jugular, which I’m certain you couldn’t find even with an anatomy chart and a sharp knife.

Damn, you and your expert psychological evaluations. Normally people have to take test to figure that shit out. First it was my daddy issues now my manhood. Is that why you never answered the simple questions I asked you? You were too busy looking up my conditions in the DSM-IV.

Oh the playdough pun was very funny. Way to pull out that high IQ again.

I would be proud to be more related to anything else if it meant I didn’t share any genes with you. (all life on earth is related to some degree, which means that every time someone reads one of your post, they think god I hope that gene is recessive)

“Theoretical physicist Wolfgang Pauli (1900-1958) is in a category of his own: the withering comment for which he’s best known combines utter contempt on the one hand with philosophical profundity on the other. “This isn’t right,” Pauli is supposed to have said of a student’s physics paper. “It’s not even wrong.”” (Briefing | Science | The Guardian)

I thought of you merlin, when I read this. You are so fucked up that you aren’t even wrong.

Ok, where did the water go?

Plus I believe, scientifically, it is on the shoulders of the person making the claim to prove their claim, not to make a claim, hold it as true and say it is until proven otherwise. We take our observations, make a hypothesis and when proven it becomes a theory.

But all that aside, where is the water that was able to cover the entire planet deep enough to hold a very large barge like ship?

Not to mention, how did they fit a pair of every animal on this ship? On that note, who brought the pubic lice? What kind of thinking was that?
Now were at Noah? I watched the little Discovery Channel bit they had on the arc. Kinda funny really, the actors were pretty bad. Something about a pair of each part of the species was possible, not all 6 million or whatever the number is.

I’m sure an evolutionist can bend shape twist fold and make any puzzle peice fit their puzzle. I tried that few times as a kid. Eventually I tossed that peice aside because I knew it was the wrong fit and the wrong way to solve a puzzle. At least ALL evolutionists don’t have concrete for brains. Just the ones that jam the puzzle peices.

Do you ever think once, that evolutionists twist/hide/deny/ or take whatever they can to make it FIT the theory? I just want to see how naive you are? Is this possible? Do evolutionists lie? C’mon …we know. You can tell us, don’t be afraid.

Numnutz! …multiply your IQ times four and you still wouldn’t find a number large enough to enter into this conversation. Go back to arguing about “Why genetics is the only way to build muscle”. You’re in the wrong neighborhood here. Nobody here is arguing the bible. Only the evolutionist are trying to elicit that thought. Pass the bug spray rainjack.

merlin

We need to out all the guys in here who don’t believe in the verifiable and choose to instead believe in fairy tales that have been debunked as primitive superstition. Come on guys…all of you can now proudly join mitt romney and brownback in proclaiming that you too are a neanderthal.

Your bible stories are garbage- weekly world news stuff is on the same level, except some of that IS true. There is NO question of some form of evolution as humans and other animals share tremendous amounts of DNA. This is not a coincidence- cows and chimps for example have a huge amount of DNA in common with us…yes I said COWS…and tests done with those animals biology has resulted in chemicals which act similar if not the same in the human body.

This is proven science and is able to be cited in journals- so go look. The fake bible flood, the jewish god, and the fake istory of the exodus into the desert led by moses has no basis in fact.

As a matter OF fact, they did try to verify the exodus but could not find one trace of evidence that 10,000+ people lived in the desert for 40 yrs- if I had time I’d go into the stupidity of ALL these stories and dismantle them one by one but Im going out of town for the weekend. I will be back and I’m going to enjoy making you look even more stupid than you already do.

Until then say 10 hail marys and stick your thumb up your ass.

The funny thing is that the ark is one of the few bible stories that is scientifically testable. Merlin, if you really believe the that the ark could hold all those animals along with their food, why don’t you get some “scientific” creationist backing and build one. The instructions are in the bible. Then you could put it to sail four 40 days. You could even pick how many animals you wanted to carry by picking either of the two versions.

I’m sure you won’t even try to do it. It would be a huge failure. It would be far larger than any wooden ship ever built, and they stopped building wooden ships any bigger because they reached theoretical limitations.

It is obvious that god would have to magic all kinds of stuff to make it possible, but if god has to magically protect the ark and the animals, why doesn’t he just magically zap the evil people that he wants to kill and skip the flood? As a matter of fact how can an all knowing all powerful deity have an experiment go wrong? Maybe, much like leaving hand washing out of the bible, he just wanted to kill a bunch of people because he is 99.999% evil?

Oh, and when the ark landed on Mt Arat, how did the koala bears get to Australia without eucalyptus leaves, the only food they eat, a raft to get to the island, and where are all of the koala fossils on the path there?

These crazy bible types are like cockroachoes…who have EVOLVED and become resistant to the TRUTH. A damn shame. Look at me, arguing with stone age people…not a fair fight.

“creationism” lol…cant argue evolution vs creationism without invoking that rag called the old testament because without the OT, no one would even know what creationism is. Dummy.

I can’t believe I left this board for so long and let this brainless cunny spew this horse shit. But, like terminator said “i’ll be back”…and I AM back, and your pseudo intellectual bullshit arguments won’t stand.

Now, I gotta go but while Im gone I want you to dig up some gay creationist ‘facts’ and supported corroborated evidence backed up in actual scientific journals. Meanwhile, I’ll be studying for a test in criminal investigation I have on monday. Do yourself a favor, though, and google fossils and the jurassic, triassic, and precambrian eras and things will come up, those are called FOSSILS, which are of ANIMALS that lived hundreds of millions of years ago…like WHALES, who began as LAND animals but EVOLVED into SEA creatures you god damn idiot.

Do your homework bitch boy.

So, where did it go? I answered 50 questions you threw at me(though you didn’t read them). You can answer one. Give me a reasonable answer.

Now who is close minded and bigoted?

You never answered one question. You copied & pasted all your answers from Talk.Origins archive, Why I don’t know.

Here you can read this if you need an explanation …“In the Beginning: Compelling Evidence for Creation and the Flood”

LOL! I ask you a question and I get a question …is this how you answer your questions when you can’t logically argue them?

Again, Why am I defending creationism which is something I HAVE NO OPINION on?

Wow …did you play DODGEball as a kid and fall in love with the game?

I don’t know anything about USNS physique. I think that he has less to do with your leaving than your inability to answer a simple question about your “theory”. Just one question. I’ll ask it again. If you think a global flood created the grand canyon then explain how the ox bows were created along with some data, for instance a modern flood causing a small ox bow. I doubt you will.

You are an idiot, a coward, and a blow hard. You make claims you can’t back up, you ignore the parts of post you can’t answer, and you make unsubstantiated accusations about everyone.

You should take a long hard look at how pathetic you are.
