Every Devil Dog Has It's Day

@anon50325502 Very nice. You’ve got a full setup there specialty bars and all! I hope to have something of my own like that eventually when I become a homeowner (currently renting).

Thanks, man! Ya, I really love it. I’m glad I spent the money.

Was a bit strapped for time:

Tried OHP with 65, but only got 2.5.

Well, today was fun. Hit an 80kg clean + Hang Clean and a 90kg Clean. Started squatting and “pop” something just popped in my mid back. Feels wonderful… About done with the back squat.

Finally made a long overdue visit to the Chiropractor last night. I was apprehensive, but it went really well.

The good news is he doesn’t think there is any real damage based on the physical exam. I see him again tonight to go over x-rays, though. He noted 3 spots that are basically locked up. The right side of my neck, right around where I heard the pop yesterday (mid back - right side, he thinks it was a rib popping), and right above my right butt check (he called it something specific, but it’s escaping me at the moment).

All in all, the experience was good. The physical exam was probably longer than the full physical my primary care doctor gives me, the adjustments weren’t bad at all (few cracks here and there and some tension, but no pain), spent 5 minutes on this crazy massage table that works on joint mobility and blood flow, and the prices wasn’t bad at all (I did get a discount this time because I was a referral). Normally he charges about $200/month for unlimited visits and I think I might start going 2-3 times a week (at least for now).

One thing that really made me happy was that he must have said 4 times that he wants to get me as healthy as possible so I can get back to peak performance in the gym. He stressed how important lifting is to a healthy lifestyle and that squatting will help me to maintain a healthy spine as I age.

Your new garage gym looks big enough to probably sell gym memberships. Where’s the Marine flag?

I am thinking of starting a gym and I would open with less than what he has in his garage. Very awesome gym there.

Also racing you to 190!!!

From time to time I drop the back squat for Front Squats. Keeps my back safer and helps mobility.

Ha! I should sell memberships…

The Marine Corps flag is on the opposite wall of the dry erase board.

Sounds good (190 what?)

Lol, nevermind, derp…

Decided to start building a platform over the weekend (Marine Corps. themed of course). It’s not quite finished, but thought I’d share anyone. Whole thing cost about $150.
