Ever Seen a Famous Person?

not bad.

Never met him, but Sting used to be my uncle before someone got divorced.

I saw Kevin Bacon at Yellowstone National Park two years ago.

since i moved to la i see them all the time. there are a few that train at my gym.

I met huge Vic Richards and bs’d with him for a few minutes. Very cool and friendly.

I saw Danny Glover shopping at Costco once. He’s very tall!

I fingered the neck of Yngwie Malmsteen’s guitar while he was playing up close for the front row. He brushed my hand aside, pointed at me and motioned “no” with his finger. That’s as close to meeting him as I will get.

I’ve met
Tiger Woods (before he was on the pro tour)
Wanderlei Silva (MMA fighter, real nice guy)
and
Cuttino Mobley, NBA (also an extremely nice guy)I was sad when I saw had to retire.

I met Kurt Cobain when I was 4 with my parents. I still remember shaking his hand.

Met Bill Kazmaier a few years back, that was cool.

I used to be next door neighbors with the guitarist from midnight oil, martin rottsey. I was good friends with his daughters (now very hot), and my mum is still good friends with his wife.

I saw Kevin O’Grady in the gym today…
the man’s still a pretty impressive trainer.

Use to play basketball every now and then with Kostya Tszyu, f!@# he was fast, and pretty fit.

Have had a few drinks with Kurt Pengilly of INXS one random night out as well.

Several Colorado political folks, if they count as famous (now-Representative Mike Coffman was at my wedding)

Davis Phinney, Connie Carpenter Phinney, and Greg LeMond (pro cyclists pre-Armstrong era)

Debra Winger and at the time Gov Bob Kerry. Winger borrowed a cigarette from me, tore off the filter and smoked. (I have long since quit that nasty habit.)
Wille Lanier and Jan Stenerud.

Forgot to mention I also met R. Lee Emery (Gunny Sgt. Hartman from Full Metal Jacket). He was a lot taller than I thought and a funny guy.

Met Adrian Cronauer (“Good Morning, Vietnam”). Robin Williams nailed his voice to a T.

“Met” at book signings:

Richard Marcinko, author of Rogue Warrior. He was shorter than I expected but had a crushing handshake.

Buzz Aldrin, second man on the moon, for his book “The Return”. He’d only sign copies of his book and was rather short with anyone who asked him to sign something else.

John McCain for “Flag of Our Fathers”.

Caspar Weinberger, Secretary of Defense under Ronald Reagan, for “In the Arena”.

Paul Tibbets, pilot of the Enola Gay, for “Return of the Enola Gay”.

Mark Bowen, author of “Black Hawk Down”.

Jason Queally (Olympic gold medalist cyclist)used to lift at our gym, later found out my wife has known his mum for years.

1st George Bush, Arnold and others. These are people I have directly hi nice to meet you. Daruis Rucker of Hootie and the Blowfish bought me two shots of Jim Beam.

LL Cool J, Akon, Young Jeezy, Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez, Jose Canseco, Ben Rothlisberger, Pauly Shore, Vanilla Ice, “Puck” from the real world, Cal Ripken Jr. signed a baseball for me, Bob Sanders (from my hometown) and the nicest of them all was Jerry Sienfeld, he was extremely polite.

I seen many more at the hotel I work at, but those are the ones I’ve actually had a word or two with.

I also think I was behind P-ditty in a black Ferrari on I285 in Atlanta a few days before New Years eve. All black 08 or 09 Ferrari with a license plate COMBS1. The windows were so tinted I couldn’t see anything.

Chuck Norris, had a few beers with him once, but he didn’t drink any. Nicest guy you’ll ever meet.

Met Steven Seagal twice, once during his heyday (he was a total prick) and once after his conversion to Buddhism (He was totally cool).

George Clooney, before he was famous at a wedding reception. He was a total dick.

George H.W. Bush, when he was Prez, super guy really. Mellow and funny as hell once he got to know you and what it was OK to say around you.

Arnold, exactly like you’d expect him to be. I liked him but I see why some people don’t.

Met madonna in orange county california 3 years ago, she gave me a kiss on the cheek :D! Cause i asked her for a picture lol.

Oh, I also had a pretty famous coach for a while. But I let that one out then everyone’s gonna figure out who I am sooner or later. No fucking way.

My dad’s company has 8th row seats for the St. Louis Cardinals, so I’ve seen (by seen I mean I was within 10 yards of them) several celebs because of that. Joe Buck, Steven Tyler (he went to a game and was asked to sing God Bless America… it was awesome), Jamal Mares, and my personal favorite… Thibs! He’s ridiculously huge in real life.

Also saw Jimmy Fallon at a Red Sox game and Jack Nicholson at a Yankees game.
