i started reading this short story just now in alberto Manguel anthology
is called ‘a Self-possessed Woman’ by Julian Barnes
so far,
is about agent and publisher who go to see woman who claims she is channeling spirits of dead authors
and writing out their defenses (in trance) of their literary legacies against critiques and incorrect interpretations of their work since their deaths
will be a while before i finish it
was reminded of this time about 15 years ago when i was reading all this stuff about Magic and the Tarot and was seized with this impulse to write out a stack of fairy tales (some X-rated)
now i have more than a year’s worth of ideas sloshing around my ears
and ‘my hands feel just like two balloons’
