Morning.

Here’s your cup of coffee.

What exotic location are you at today?
Ha! Home sweet home. Monday-thursday is usually at home.

I do not expect you to start a log and build a house there.

Us old guys have been doing this a long time and there is a TON of knowledge in that section.

DOW has put in good advice.

Again did you go up in weight on the second cycle?

OK so for anyone who has run 5/3/1… I just finished my first cycle and that was the first time I’ve had a “deload week” in my entire lifting life. After my first day of cycle 2 (yesterday) I have the craziest upper body DOMS I’ve ever experienced. I feel like I’ve never lifted before. Is this normal after a deload week?

Literally every muscle in my upper body is ablaze today.
Spend more time in over 35 and ask that question. Probably 90% of the guys over there have done it or are still doing 5/3/1, I did it for 2 years.

Question did you raise your weights for the second cycle?

Do you have a log on here?
scj119, yes, I’ve run it before, and yes, I have experianced this issue as well. It is probably just your body adjusting to the new stimulus. I always have doms pretty bad if I hit a bodypart really hard after a long lay off from training it. In your case, a week may have been long enough for this to occur. Just make sure you get enough food/rest to recover, and also, pay attention to your stretching, warmups, and mobility work. I have found that this really helps alleviate doms.
God damnit I was hoping no one would tell me to stretch.

It’s weird mainly because I hardly ever get upper body DOMS, apart from a little bit in my back. Legs I do from time to time. Just feels weird.

Thanks

Peaches how are the brain damaged students?
Better this week. I think this class just needs a lot more hand holding and occasionally ass kicking.

Where are all the girls? Why’s TK such a sausagefest today? It’s weird.
Sometimes the men have to vent and take control.

Dont worry it will not last long, wait till Edgy gets here and then all the ladies will come out.
Ha, like magic.

My token of apology for dominating morning TK

Dude you get some sweet discounts with AARP, no joke. I will be accepting that card the day I am eligible.

reading the prior posts, seems like there are some White Sox fans…sooooooo

whataya think about Mr. Ozzie “the lip” Gullien going to Florida?

Glad/Sad…who’s the next manager?

I’m a semi White Sox fan, sat in a sky box with Scotty Pippen back in the day, it was a great night, had gone to a Cub’s game during the day and then rode the subway to New Comisky…lot of alcohol consumed!..I digress, back to the important people…

The real White Sox fans…

Sorry missed that one.

Okay have you ever really gone heavy before? I mean have you been mostly doing BB type workouts?

Also what is your post workout intake?

When I was doing 5/3/1 I was really packing in the calories, if I didnt I would get serious DOMS.

I will go look at what you are doing in your log.

Post took off without me.

I highly recommend scjays log…for the midget shenanigans alone

Haha well I don’t think lack of food intake is my problem, to put it mildly.

I’m not the one that made him cry. It was literally his mom on the phone saying she wouldn’t send him money that made him cry. I don’t think he had a card in the first place.
