While I imagine I’d be a pretty good paramedic or such, my heart remains with coaching and helping people meet and exceed goals they never knew they had. To be thanked for putting folks thru their paces, and having strangers approach me to coach them is a huge booster.

If money is not a problem Rod then I hear what you are saying. BUT work as a medic on a lot of trucks are 8 shifts a month. Plenty of time off to do training outside that.

For realz!!! But seriously Rod i know DJ and ms DJ are dr’s and know a lot more than me especially with having been in the ER but im finishing up paramedic school as we speak so feel free to ask me any questions and ill answer the best i can.
The pay isnt glamorous but you do (hopefully we still will) get a handsome pension, and have lots of time to work a second job. By me all depts do 24 on 48 off its different across the country but you get the idea of how much time off you have.
