I took my cat to the vet tonight and I will likely have to put him down tomorrow. :frowning:

I was under control signing the consent form for them to keep him tonight and try a couple of things at the vets until the vet assistant started to well up. [/quote]

That sucks :frowning:

I remember putting the family cat down, it’s a shitty thing to have to do.

congrats dude!

I know! :`(

I love that cat. I wonder if I should have just let him go tonight instead of putting him through more suffering but I couldn’t do it.

I’m really sorry to hear that, Deb. To me, that’s the worst part about having animals…

Normally, i’m pretty stoic in most situations, but i’m a complete mess when it comes to putting pets down. I felt bad leaving out cat, Amber, to be de-clawed…

You have my deepest sympathies.

It’s okay, they just put it to sleep. It won’t know what’s happening anyways

If you let it go something worse could happen to it

Thanks so much Grns, I need’em!

I meant let him go to be put down, I just wasn’t able to give up on him yet.

Thanks guys.

I’m picturing it though:

Opens door for cat “Be free!! Be free! Run away! save yourself! It’s better this way!”

Cat flops down in front of open door and starts licking his paw. I give him a push. “maow” lick lick lick

Sorry if I’m depressing you guys! Time for some Chinese food and video games. I just got Red Dead Redemption but I haven’t opened it yet.

lol

I had an outside cat that never ran away so yeah it sounded weird to me haha

I’ve got the new COD right now but haven’t played it that much because of exams and work

I thought the TUF finales were usually free on cable? I don’t see it on right now and it was my plan to watch it while I did laundry tonight

Edit: just saw a commercial for it and it’s PPV. fml.

All this putting down pets thing, and I feel like becoming an alcoholic.

Big hugs Deb… :frowning:

smooshed my penis in a desk drawer. sad night.

(it was an accident)

aw man sorry to hear that Deb. I’ve had my cat for 10 years and I know the day will come when she won’t be around and that’s going to hurt like hell…

would I sound like a totally insensitive slob if I asked what was wrong? Don’t answer if you don’t care to share.

greenies - that spread sounds just about perfect

Aww deb shit that sucks. Its just the worst! We get a pet and know that ultimately we will routlive it… and each time is just brutal. So sorry!

Chris are you serious?
