Brother Chris, why the interest in the KKK?
No interest in the KKK. I just don’t get disgusted by them, or really any group except for one. I just seen enough stupid shit to realise that I should just ignore it. I think they are sheep fucking retards personally, and I don’t tolerate listening to all that hateful shit they spew.

I’ve only personally ran into the KKK once and it was unpleasant as could be, but I handled it properly and they left me alone.
Alright, just making sure you’re not some internet KKK wanna be.
Come on Wol, I’m blacker than you. What you think I’m Chappell?
Chappelle.

My E key is sticky. Need to stop eating pancakes over it.

Pops, why do you think you lack the courage NOT to drink?
There is no courage in not doing something. That is restraint, only when you do something do you show courage. And today’s word of the day is temperance, to drink moderately or as Thomas Aquinas said, drink 'til hilarity.

I think most people that do not drink, do so because they’re afraid of their true selves. Virtue and shame both show through when filled with spirits.
Give me a break.

Yeah, well at least you dont blow dick like Arizona.
Correct. That is why when I am not going to school or doing anything business related I head over to Kansas.

Negative, i don’t drink for 3 reasons.

1: It tastes and smells terrible, bitter, sour and disgusting.

2: My parents are both alcoholics, and i saw many of the negative effects firsthand both emotional/mental and physical(my mom almost died because of it).

3: I don’t like not having complete control of my motor functions. As a kid watching the drunks stumble, bumble and fumble around like incapacitated idiots never appealed to me.

Now if you drink, fine i don’t judge. I really don’t care too much about alcohol and others drinking. I personally dislike it and will not touch it. I see no problem with responsible drinking and knowing one’s limits and staying within them. There’s a big difference between enjoying a few drinks and getting stupid drunk.

Now tobacco, in particular cigarrettes on the other hand… I hate that shit like Hitler hated the cigarettes!

/rant
Fixed, Hitler had an unusual dislike for tobacco.

I guess it comes with how you were raised. My family drinks a lot, but they do not get drunk. Except for my dad and grandpa, everyone drinks. Mostly at meals, but they also go for the occasional pint at the bar or glass of wine.

P.S. Anyone ever tried picked eggs? I just finished my first batch and nom nom nom. I have ate eight eggs in about an hour and a half, my farts are going to rank tonight. I can feel the build-up already.

Not true Toots. I disagree that people have to drink in order to reveal their true selves. I don’t grudge BC.
No one has to drink. If you do, people might see parts of your true self that they would not have seen otherwise. I want to see it all before I get too attached to someone and I want to own all parts of myself, not deny them.

Herc made a thoughtful post about the reasons he doesn’t drink and since he doesn’t judge the people that do, I agree with him too. Life isn’t one size fits all.

own it GIRL! :stuck_out_tongue:

HAI mom!!!

Bleh, too early for being awake.

Mornin everyone! How’s everyone doing? Busy busy day for me and it’s starting to get cold here, woke up and it was 45 this morning. It’ll still be 70 by afternoon but still the cool weather is nice at night, I don’t have to use the AC now.

Meh, BC’s comment was dumb and it was judgmental to say those who don’t drink do it out of fear (or to get more to his to the point, cowards) Deb’s comment was fair IMO. BC can defend himself though but doesn’t take himself that seriously anyhow (and he likes to be controversial…)

Hai there!

I have no problems with grudges. I have a few arch rivals, a nemesis, and a mortal enemy or two.

I generally just don’t waste my time with people that make me mad. The only person that makes me mad that I’m forced to see would be my brother. Everyone else I generally just cut them out of my life if they’re constantly making it worse.

Your life is soooo much more interesting than mine

Hai Liquid. Do you have a competition coming up soon?

You make a valid point Deb. Why should I say anything when someone doesn’t feel the need to say anything themselves? I feel like this is a thread where anything can happen and once someone puts a negative spin on it, it’s ruined.

Which one is Wol?!?!? (:

Hiya Deb! Sure do. I have to coach this weekend for the kiddies (rowing) and then I’ve got my PL meet Nov 20th. This is an exciting two months for me.

 1. The lady is moving in (from out of state so this will also be first time in a long while we get to see each other daily) and I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am about this.
 2. PL meet Nov. 20th. I am really hoping I can bust out 1300+ total. My goal for my next meet after will be an elite total, though I’m still not sure what this even does for me other then just putting a title to someone who lifts a lot for their weight.
 3. Lots of races to coach and get the kids up to speed
 4. I have a new grill and get to cook on it daily and I’m getting back into my glorious enjoyment of steak
 5. Halloween, greatest holiday ever. I’m going as a ghost…with a ghostbuster pack/gun (that will hold beer).
 6. Turkey Day, second greatest holiday. Food, my family whom are all nuts.

Liquid, wow, great!! Can’t wait to hear how the meet goes.

Whats going on here?
