those first three tracks made me reminisce for a minute…

Is it weird that I really beat the people that want me to train them into the ground?
One other trainer says “you are just here to see people in pain, huh? that whole welcome to Hell thing you got goin never stops, does it?”
Me: People have goals they want to get to in a TIMELY manner. Those goals are hard and require INTENSITY. Not your “how are your kids doin in school?” during a set
I remember this conversation randomly happened…problem is my contracted trainees actually get to their goals which eliminates the need for a long contract…ya kno’, once they have the tools they need to go on their own…gym policy wants “lasting relationships” that is, long drawn out contracts that never intend on delivering any real prescription of training that amounts to anything…I can’t rob people like that BUT I do get referral contracts though which kinda makes up for the shorter contracts I have.

i’m glad you’re one of the good guys, Rock. Our gym is flooded with salesmen masquerading as trainers.
I deadlifted at 5:30 this morning. That’s not a good idea.
But, I’m wearing a new yellow sweater (one of my accidental purchases if you read my log in PW), and I have caffeine, and I get to sue John Does 1-10 today. Life is good.
^ kick theys asses PMPM.
I’m sure they’re guilty of somefuckingthing.
^ ya, that.
yellow sweater? Im sure you look sunshiney…
Hi AC!

Now you’ve got me a bit pissed that I can’t play slide/guitar like him, and had to settle for being an okay bass player. (O hai bass!)
I’ve been sitting here for more than an hour looking at Gov’t Mule’s body of work on youtube, with the tot asleep on my lap, hoping that he picks up a love for real music by osmosis.
Next to eating, sleeping, and pooping, strumming my guitar is probably one of his favorite things to do (I fret for him, though)
Okay, not depressed anymore.
I mean don’t get me wrong, it’s not that GM is really awful, it is just like they are more like the dead than I really care for. AB post Dwayne is like a GD replica. Dicky Betts is a great guitarist, but he just doesn’t come around like Dwayne. While Derick Trucks has a very similar sound, he also is missing that last final touch.
No one could have replaced Dwayne, and I understand not splitting the band up, but change your name for Christ sake. You went from bluesy, harsh and powerful to peace, love, and dope Grateful Dead style.
No I don’t like the Dead, never have, never will. Phish blows too.
As far as playing, yeah it kicks ass. I went to college a music major but switched my first semester freshman year. Jazz kinda isn’t my thing, and I kept getting yelled at for improv rather than following the sheet music. Keys and woodwinds were the dumbest classes ever. Once I realized rock stars dont’ go to college, I didn’t want to be one anyway, and all that degree was going to get me was a band camp chick and a job at Record Town; I switched.
I play now and again.
I’m a big fan of Warren, but I fully admit that it’s not that he’s in 4 different bands, more like he’s in 1 band with 4 different lineups if that makes sense.
Give Derek a bit more time, he’s not really old enough for the blues yet. ;')
We’ve got a bit of a rotating drummer list & young rhythm guitarist, so I tend to be most successful laying down a simple (boring) bassline on stage, and saving the cooler improv for playing without an audience. Or I get them to let me honk away on the harmonica.
I’m not a fan of the Dead either.
Any opinion on the Paul Butterfield Blues Band?

That’s what I hate about the spring - having to limit my drinking so I can cut down to my summer-svelte self! (that and switching from Chipotle to Subway FML) The things we do to maintain our girlish figures… <<>>

It is offical, we would have so much fun together, I’m pretty sure our wives wouldn’t allow us to hang out together…
Now to figure out how to deal with boarder control.

I would imagine it’s the same as yours, a little drizzly! What part of MD are you in? I grew up in B-More and have lived in Glen Burnie, Columbia and Rockville… Before I got tired of paying those high ass taxes!
