Ever Feel Like a Thread Killer? (6)

I hate how my job goes from awesome to pants shittingly frustrating in .24 seconds.

I now have no internet at work.

I’m working 7 days a week, 8 hour shifts with no break.

I was just passed over for promotion because the D of O wants a puppet in the Sales Director position, the same position i’ve been trained for since 2006.

That place is swallowing my life.

Sweet, a good joke ruined by facts and realistic representation…

You are my wife, just pretending to be some Swiss PL’er online aren’t you?

Yes. Go take out the garbage.

Is it weird that I really beat the people that want me to train them into the ground?

One other trainer says “you are just here to see people in pain, huh? that whole welcome to Hell thing you got goin never stops, does it?”

Me: People have goals they want to get to in a TIMELY manner. Those goals are hard and require INTENSITY. Not your “how are your kids doin in school?” during a set

I remember this conversation randomly happened…problem is my contracted trainees actually get to their goals which eliminates the need for a long contract…ya kno’, once they have the tools they need to go on their own…gym policy wants “lasting relationships” that is, long drawn out contracts that never intend on delivering any real prescription of training that amounts to anything…I can’t rob people like that BUT I do get referral contracts though which kinda makes up for the shorter contracts I have.

/rant

sounds like one of the trainers in my gym…she’s popular and always busy, but has people doing the whackiest shit that doesn’t mean jack…and there is no way they would do this stuff on there own…

whereas I feel like I actually have something to offer that people could benefit from
(training, get your mind outta the gutter!) still trying to make that happen…

For Wol.

sWEET i GET TO LEAVE BEFORE MIDNIGHT…

40MIN RIDE HOME AND i’M GOLDEN.

Sorry aboot caps

Caught my second wind on the drive home… Bear with me.

I been through some fucked up shit and it came up the other day. Now everytime I talk about it it causes the same reaction. The next couple of days you get that feeling. Just that gut twist and the thought sits in the back of your mind tapping on your consciousness like a tree branch on a window. Tap tap tap.

Now I can deal with it, so it is all good.

When I was in my teens, I would put on some live Allman (sp?) Brothers (with Dwayne. Without him they suck balls.) and cry and hate myself and my life. In my twenties I would play a ton of hiphop and rap, drink amazing amounts and pass the fuck out. (My Juinor year of college I even got the twitch. Like Parkinson twitch.)

Now I can just put on a few tracks, get my mind back on track and it’s all good.

But, tap tap tap…

I’m not like you, I’m a dying breed… It is true, but I’m just a cog in the wheel at the same time…

Don’t worry about me, i just drank like 9 Diet Coke’s today and am rambling.

If I start linking “Maybe Tomorrow” then you can worry, because that means I’m straight fucked.

holy jesus that ^ intro sounded like Reilly B. King!

I know it’s heresy, but I enjoy Gov’t Mule’s edge/funk more than the AB’s ‘smoothness(?)’

where the hell did this come from?

Warren’s other weirder covers are probably War Pigs or One by U2.

Now you’ve got me a bit pissed that I can’t play slide/guitar like him, and had to settle for being an okay bass player. (O hai bass!)

I’ve been sitting here for more than an hour looking at Gov’t Mule’s body of work on youtube, with the tot asleep on my lap, hoping that he picks up a love for real music by osmosis.
Next to eating, sleeping, and pooping, strumming my guitar is probably one of his favorite things to do (I fret for him, though)

Okay, not depressed anymore.

I’ll see your “Maybe Tomorrow” and counter with THIS!1!

I mean don’t get me wrong, it’s not that GM is really awful, it is just like they are more like the dead than I really care for. AB post Dwayne is like a GD replica. Dicky Betts is a great guitarist, but he just doesn’t come around like Dwayne. While Derick Trucks has a very similar sound, he also is missing that last final touch.

No one could have replaced Dwayne, and I understand not splitting the band up, but change your name for Christ sake. You went from bluesy, harsh and powerful to peace, love, and dope Grateful Dead style.

No I don’t like the Dead, never have, never will. Phish blows too.

As far as playing, yeah it kicks ass. I went to college a music major but switched my first semester freshman year. Jazz kinda isn’t my thing, and I kept getting yelled at for improv rather than following the sheet music. Keys and woodwinds were the dumbest classes ever. Once I realized rock stars dont’ go to college, I didn’t want to be one anyway, and all that degree was going to get me was a band camp chick and a job at Record Town; I switched.

I play now and again.

Everytime I see your avatar AC, the chicken dance song runs through my head!![/quote]

LOL! It’s nice to know that my avatar has achieved it’s purpose. And don’t y’all be knockin’ a dancing chicken that does tricks - the entertainment value alone is priceless! I put the fun in dysfunctional (although the last year I’ve made a few “functional” decisions)
