9 day stay in the hospital. Lost around 20 pounds.

Very ready to start training again. Damn near a vegetarian, at this point…hospital food sucked that bad.

What’d I miss?
That had to suck donkey balls, glad to hear you are okay RB.
When you feel as though your brain is trying to come out of your eyes, donkey balls suckery. And the quickest way to turn a grown ass man into a lil boy: spinal tap…times 8. Yes. Motherfucking EIGHT. Idiot fucking doctors…
Why 8 taps, RB?

Damn glad you’re on the mend, bud.
8 because the first doc couldn’t get any fluid out in 6 attempts, while the second needed only two.

Time to move around a bit…trying some BW work.

Yay!

Busy, we are having a good day.

Hotmail is down. I have to use my BB to email IH. This sucks.

Okay, CNN is showing pix of the new Sarah Palin movie with Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin. Holy shit, she looks more and sounds more like Sarah Palin than Tina Fey does.

Yo!!

IH, I love that gif! That cat is hilarious!

Did you like the first gif?

In my mind, both Greenie and IH are sitting at home in front of the computer. IH logs on, posts a gif and types “Yo”. Greenie sees the post, tells IH to scoot over, logs IH out, logs in herself and types, 'IH, I love that gif! That cat is hilarious"

IH reads the post, tells Greenie to scoot over, logs her out, logs himself if and types, “Did you like the first gif?”

And on and on it goes. If that’s not what happens, don’t tell me, I don’t want to know.

LOL…sometimes we ARE next to each other on the couch and if he’s typing I ask him where he’s posting and then when he’s done I go to that thread.

Are you a real doctor, btw? Are you glad Chicago is getting hit with a blizzard late tonight? It was 62 here today.

I’m looking forward to the blizzard. We’ve gotten off light this year, the temperatures have rarely dipped into the 20s and very little snow. it’s been the mildest winter I can remember in Chicago.

I’m not a real doctor, the name is from a character in Voltaire’s Candide.

geek alert

Gottfried Leibniz was a German philosopher who was trying to answer this question: If God is omnibenevolent, omnipotent and omniscient, how do we account for the suffering and injustice that exist in the world? His answer was to cast God as the role of an optimizer of sorts. Since He is good and omnipotent, and since He chose this world out of all possibilities, this world must be goodâ??in fact, this world is the best of all possible worlds. Later, Voltaire wrote a scathing satire of this idea that we live in the best of all possible worlds, and Dr. Pangloss was the character that embodied this optimistic ideal.

The romantic in me wishes it could be true, the realist (cynic?) in me realizes that it’s not.
