460- were you told not to do stuff to keep it from getting worse? Or do you stuff as long as it doesn’t hurt?

These are the kind of questions I’m asking this morning. [/quote]

When I gave him the WTF look he realized I didn’t know I had it. So he was nice to give me the run down. He told me to not think of it as nothing but wear and tear that a body goes thru and not think of it as a disease. His words “thru the years your body will wear down in some places and in your case its the knees and shoulder. Take extra care to keep those areas warm and stop doing things that cause them pain”.

I took that as Military Medical advice for “shit happens”

How on earth can I have owned a phone for a year and a half and they still haven’t fixed the basic alarm function? GAH

Anyway, it was a good little meal with some good company. It was a good time.

If alcohol were involved

droid x. It also randomly reboots itself frequently while I’m using it. Dunno if all droids are like this or if I’m just lucky, but I can’t wait to get a new phone and will not buy another droid.

Weird effing morning so far.

I would probably wanna call everyone by their screen names because im weird

More flowers Dash?

Morning All! 5:30 wake up - 6:00 breakfast of champions (coffee and protein shake) ? First teams at 7:00! Great way to start a week.

Any medical visit sucks, so I feel for you MIM. It really sucks when you know you?re jacked up and you?ll get the standard advice from a doctor. I have been told for 22yrs not to squat or deadlift, they have actually told me on several occasions to only do leg press and leg extensions
ya, LEG EXTENSIONS!!
Good Luck and just listen to your body. “The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible”.

I have hit PR?s at age 38,39 and 40 in both squat and deadlift, so take their advice under consideration and file it away. Only you know your body and what you can and can?t do.

Lol no. I just sent you a text with the story, dood.

Seamus - why is that? Knee problems? Leg Extensions aren’t exactly easy on your knees either (on top of the obvious statements about doing them instead of squatting).

dash - whoops.

aaaaand I’m back.

All I heard was lose more weight, blah blah blah,. Take more drugs, blah blah blah.

He did say however, because I asked, that he is not placing any restrictions on what I can/can’t do. Basically it’s just going to get worse so I might as well party like a rock star now!!

woot.

Standard “Doctor” talk at least military. Some years back I tore a muscle doing a Humvee pull for charity. The GP at medical ask what did I do during a normal training session.

Then said He understands that its for a sport but use machines for legs and back its safer.

I understood that he didn’t understand and he was just trying give what he thought was SAFE advice.

And good advice seamus, thanks.

It’s on NOW! My problem is that it HURTS WHILE I try to do something
like squats or lunges for example. So I shy away. I don’t like the feeling of my bones rubbing together either
uhhhhh. Maybe I’ll start listening to music again to try and ignore that.

Same with me. I do no weight squats and I hear click click click every time my knee bends. Then my boy Tony Harris told me to try TK bands. I bet any Neopreane band would do the same I just like these because he used them. your knee warms up fast and it stays warm. Only issue I have is the sweat makes them slip down so you adjust after each set.
