Beans has shown up twice now, completely out of the blue with what ever chip he’s wearing. Twice I’ve noticed anyways. Here and the video game thread.

I realize I and another have derailed threads. What I like is how topics often spark conversations and how people can choose to read the side commentary or not.

Plus, once the points made become circular, re-phrased piles of the same the thread is over.

Just like you say, everybody does it. Some people are fun to talk to and a conversation sparks. No sense getting butt hurt. The topic is still discussed.

I appreciate your question and sincere approach in asking it but before you judge my answer, have you gone off topic before? Found a point of interest with a poster and kept it rolling?

My Yellowbone thread went off topic but it was kinda fun to let it turn and twist was it not?

I love posting threads like “fav hobbies”, “theme song”, lists in general because it’s fun to see what people post, like, dislike et cetera. makes it easier to understand them where much of communication is lost when reduced to type.

Those threads inevitably go off topic as people find mutual points of interest and discuss.

It’s just how it is. People talk. I have enough love for everyone and will talk squarely. I’ll play the bullshit too.

Frankly beans kinda surprised me in videogame and here. He was super angry all of a sudden, as if my view on video games were a personal attack when they were just general, on topic comments.

Then he came here and continued. He seems jealous and bitter to me, topically anyways. I can’t remember ever having any real, one on one discussion with him.

I will summarize:

I wished the guy with a hernia well.

I mis-read beans’ post as a flat out general attack on basically anybody and chose to answer the bait that was just an attack on me.

Beans derailed the thread, allegedly at some weenies request.

I will leave TK if the general majority actually feels I ruin it. I prefer weiners to just voice opinions though. My style isn’t blatant thread crashing. I like posting and when a conversation sparks I like following it.
