I did a really cool photoshoot there this past March. Nothing professional just working with an artist who was travelling through Cleveland

I’m no Doc, OMo, but I would think YES.

And I answered my own question about the king size.

How can we avoid each other if we live in the same house though? Part of me feels like saying “oh well, fuck it, we both have it so we might as well go back to kissing”

Have you been truly tested for Mono with Epstein Barr?

You have to wait at minimum of two weeks to test for this, cause you are actually testing for the antibodies that are produced.

I would say no, once the antibodies are produced pretty much makes sure you will not get Mono again anytime soon.

However the damage to your immune system probably sets you up to get secondary infections, both viral and bacterial once you recover from the Mono.

So if you had it say in August and then school starts back in September and then every one is getting the flu and Strep throat you are more susceptible to getting that.

Explains how I got mycoplasma and potentially lyme along with EBV. I’m basically a petri dish right now.

Yea maybe you should stay home for a month and not go out in public.

Lyme can set people up for a lot of shit, I had a few patients who had it and took years to get right again.

Did they do a lyme titer on you?

And actually from what I know about it’s still contagious for a few months after symptoms go away. That sucks!

Well when he got it he was tested in the emergency room after they drew a ton of blood and the test came back positive. Fast forward two months and I come down with what I think is tonsilitis/pharyngytis and when my primary doc tests for mono is comes back NEGATIVE. But she put me on antibiotics and steroids. I felt better but then once I was done with the steroids all the swollen glands came back. Not as painful but they were huge and making it hard for me to swallow. So I went to an ear nose and throat specialist and he did a test for acute mono and that test came back positive. My strength was fine, my fatigue level wasn’t bad so since my boyfriend and I were both feeling generally fine we went back to working out. Now he’s back feeling sick and went to the doc yesterday where they tested him again and he’s still testing positive for mono.

So now we’re both trying to just rest but can we go back to kissing since we’re both already positive for it?

I <3 that pun!

My symptoms are a TON better. Now its the lower part of my throat that feels thick and swollen but the fever subsided after that first week.

Like I said they are actually not testing for the infection itself, they are testing for the bodies antibodies that kill the infection. So he is going to test positive for a while just like you are. When you first got tested you had it, however your body had not produced the antibodies for it.

Mono is a bad bug, one of the concerns is that your body produces so much antibodies that you are actually at risk for spleen rupture (kind of the bodies sack of antibiotics).

While it sucks lifting and exercise needs to take a back seat until you are 100% healed up. Eat, hydration and rest is all you need to do. Seriously.
