my friends got ahold of some app or something where you could call/text from one number but it would show up as someone elses, even if you were saved in my phone as A and B sent a text it would come from A. It was real fucked up and I knew who was doing it but he wouldnt admit it. I told him that since i was getting all these weird texts/calls as were other people from me, it could hinder my career, so I contacted my lawyer. At which point I told him my lawyer said it was defamation, false impersonation etc. etc. and that there was a way to trace it back, I told him this whole story about how my lawyer said if it didnt stop within a week that he was gonna file with the courts etc. etc. and I would find out who it was, and no matter what I would wreak havoc on their lives. It stopped that day!!! and I obviously never spoke to a lawyer!!
anyways my point is, its probably your friends with a stupid phone app trying to piss you off.
@ fighting_fires, thats a wicked story. There might be some truth to what you are saying, because i got two different texts on the same day and both seem like pranks. I do have pranksters for friends.
I checked the phone list at work and none of the numbers matched. I think i’ll sit on it and if i get another wayward text i’ll call them up to see who it is.
