Trav, don’t sweat it. You seem like a awesome guy, if she can’t see that, then she’s missing out. Keep trying the wear down technique. Ask her to a non-intimidating place, a movie she mentions in conversation, a museum, hockey game, ball game, someplace she likes, etc; afterward depending on how it went, see if she wants to get a bite to eat or a coffee, nothing too fancy, don’t force it.
This is not really a date, your just getting her comfortable being around you. Save the nice stuff for the second REAL date.
