So my tooth would ache in the mornings, and not hurt at all in the evenings. I was starting to think it was all in my head, esp. since the Dentist said, “Well, that sounds like a classic cracked tooth, but I can’t see it when I look for it, hmmm.” Ached this morning, so I said “fuckit, we’re going in” and it was a crack, and now I have a fucking crown, but at least I’m not a dental hypochondriac.

Ponce, I will eventually be taking Calc 2, but at a time when I’m not prepping for a wedding in crunch time. I’d much rather do it after I’m married, when I have a much healthier form of release.

So…the the racing building part of the casino started flooding from the top down today. We were having severe weather, under a tornado warning, and the roof started leaking because they’re in the middle of repairing it. The torrential downpour we were getting totally ruined whatever covering they had on the roof and it started pouring down the ductwork, through the bathrooms and down the stairwells. We first noticed something was wrong when the music cut out, then the TVs, which are satellite, went out. Literally, right after my supervisor advised me what to do if the power goes out, the fire alarm went off. Security hustled the players out, we locked up our chips and went to stand out under the porte cochere. Got to see the fire trucks come. About an hour later we were allowed back in. The water had gotten all the way down to the second floor bathrooms. Also a water main broke and flooded the first two rows of the employee parking lot so people were wading through the water with their pants up to their knees to move their cars.

I’ll show you something that may help you out.
Good point about the timeframe, but definitely take the class (and even higher level math). It’s worth it, it helps your thought process for other topics, and it looks great if you can hold your own in analytics. Please trust me on this.
YEARS after I took Algebra 2, the concepts that gave me trouble in that class started to make sense, even though I had not actively (explicitly?) used that kind of math at work. As you mature, as your thought process matures, old concepts become more clear. Sometimes, you just have to apply those concepts to other things in order for them to become more clear, e.g. when I took Differential Equations, physics I had taken a couple years earlier made much more sense.
I’m actually amazed when people can’t do simple math in every day life. Trying to figure out the tip on a bill? Why not just double the fucking tax? Close enough. Don’t know how much you save in a buy one get one deal? Come on. But, my dad owned a business for years and would have to calculate shit on the fly at auctions, over the phone, etc. I got that mindset beaten into me.
