185 is more than PMPM’s heavily equppied sumo pulling ass can do.

Woohoo! Awesome!

Yay I DLed 375 the other day, and kinda let it slam a little on the last rep. The next day there was a sign above the racks saying to not slam weights, because it scared other members, and memberships will be terminated if slammed again.

Anyway, I found out the cause of all my hip and knee pain. Apparently I almost completely torn my tibialis posterior in my left leg at some point in my life. The chiro was worried that my left ankle keeps rolling out slightly. She started digging deep into my left calf, then my right for like 3 seconds, then went back to my left and was like:

Chiro: That’s not good. There is a big soft spot that feels weird

Me: what’s wrong?

Chiro: There should be a muscle here?!

me: should I be worried?

Chiro: Probably… does this hurt?

Me: No

Chiro: this???..this?

Me: no, no. But, for the last like few years I’ve noticed a puffy/soft mass about the size of a golf ball under the skin when my left calf is pumped.

Chiro: You probably tore your tibialis posterior pretty badly at some point.

me: I think I would have noticed pain or a bruise…right?! maybe? I dunno…should I worry, you still haven’t answered?

Chiro: I dunno, probably not. If your achilles randomly explodes one day, this is the cause.

Me: noted…could this be why ::cuts me off::

Chiro: ::cuts off bass:: this could be why the hip and knee hurt. This muscle is supposed to stabilize and help push off when walking and running.

me: fml…drives home…posts on T-Nation…kills tk35

Nice job.

pch2 my brother is a physics guy. Super smart.

Bass- so whats the outcome? what are they gonna do for it??

nothing…it’s been torn for at aleast three years. That’s when I first noticed the bulge, when walking by a mirror.

I was gonna ask, “what would you guys do in this situation?”

You’re not gonna pay your doctor a visit about it, Bass?

I dunno. The guy thinks I was nuts for having shoulder surgery, even though my should capsule was stretched, and I needed a bankhart repair.

I don’t wanna go thru the usual:

“i think I torn my calf”

doc: ::rollseyes:: lets take an x-ray.
me: for what? I didn’t break my leg, I need an MRI.
doc: lets make sure
me: this has been like this for a while, I would have noticed a broken leg…just a little.
doc: x-ray or nothing.
me: fml where’s radiology. One more x-ray and i’m gonna start glowing in the dark…::walks to radiology::
radiology: you need an mri, an x-ray won’t show shit.
me: facepalm

Then when I get an mri the docs are going back and forth for 3 months deciding whether its a muscle tear, cyst, my kidney, or a matchbox car that I lost when I was 5 lodged in my calf.

the answer: varicose vein…2 months later it’s prolly a tumor.
