there was a minor protest. I don’t agree with her on hardly anything, but she had a great line- I guess her sister is a Ph.D. in Victorian Literature and she said, “So if you think it’s weird to see a black woman in politics, let me tell you, my sister is weird.”

I’ve never had much in the way of qualms with her. Nor Colin Powell. It’s the triumverate of Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld that rubbed me the wrong way. But, that is a good line.

Sorry Beast, my bow experience is extremely limited, although I have been know to me a master google-er. What do you have in mind?
Thanks BYU, I’ll check 'em out!
Working on my “to-do” list, and archery is high up there. Trying to find a club in Germany is proving to be a lil trying. So, I figured I would get some guidance from you colorful folk here in the Nation.

That’s racist! HA! I’m sure you could pick up a decent compound (if that’s what you’re going for) bow for not that much cash, and go out slinging arrows somewhere.
Not sure about specifics, but here’s a forum thread I found. Any of these near you?

losing weight, yet cholesterol keeps going up…281 new high score. YAY LIVER!!!
The idea of high cholesterol being bad for you is mediocre at best, diet drugs that lower cholesterol are countered by the body’s own mechanism of raising it naturally. Your body makes ALOT more of it than you eat, so stop thinking some preset number is ideal for you.
This is a very interesting concept to me. Is it possible that at the same time scientists figured out how to monitor for cholesterol levels, while correlating high numbers with heart disease and/or heart attacks, that the REAL correlation should have been with the high number of processed and fast foods consummed while physical exertion dramatically declined as being the real culprit?

The food lobby is beyond powerful, probably more than we could ever imagine it to be. And this could be applied to any specific food. I had an ex gf who’s brother was rail thin, ate very healthy, and had very high cholesterol. He took all the cholesterol lowering meds which did the trick, but his doctor was boggled as to why his body made more than triple his normal level of cholesterol naturally within his body. I postulated that his body is obviously really wanting that high level of cholesterol. I believe that we all cannot be piled into some obscure number, some of us run at higher levels while others at lower levels. Mine is considered low, and it hasn’t changed whether I was 210 or 290.

The problem is the ratio and cholesterol breakdown. We stopped going by your total number 15 years ago. If you LDL is above 140 and your HDL is below 40 you have a high risk for heart attack and stroke. Yes there are outliers but the studies and real life data is there. You can have a total of 290 but your LDL could be below 140 and your HDL could be high above 40 so you are not at risk.
