Ever Feel Like a Thread Killer? (14)

Since it’s quiet and maybe Beans is lurking: Beans – military press vs. push press. Do they work different muscles or same muscles in a different way. My push press feels unlimited. My military press is much more difficult.

Do both then.

Push Press uses your legs to get more weight in the air. Which is going to stimulate your muskles

Military doesn’t use your legs so you get more tension on your shoulders as they are doing the work.

I prefer seated, DB press over all, and SHIPs. I didn’t make good overhead pressing progress until I say down.

BUT

My delts suck balls, so what do I know?

smith machine high incline press

*see I’ve been lurking in the bodybuilding forum

Ct- what are you doing up so early??

Deb- think of the push press as an explosive type movement…whereas the strict MP relies solely on your shoulders…

Body English?

See See I learnz stuff too!

Thanks for the clarification. I don’s use the Smith Machine. MiM, yeah I know the difference I just wondered if I’m still working the arms/shoulders as much since the legs are involved. Like I say, I can knock those out of the park. The military presses are much more difficult. Sounds like I should keep doing both. Oh and Ct…I <3 <3 <3 you.

Mom: Sunday Morning equals aroma therapy…today’s mix is violet and nillaberry(vanilla blueberry) incense.

What’s it mean if when doing anything physical, ie sweeping I get ridiculously warm. I think I’m having hot flashes!

I sweat at temperatures over 68F just sitting still. I think it has something to do with having muscles.

Muscles provide insulation as well as movement. The more muscle you have the more heat your retain from the muscles working…k

I do both too. But my shoulders suck.

I haven’t yet, but I’m going to start doing seated presses and something like SHIPs (but I don’t have a smith machine)
