I do rows on my deadlift day and I do one arm DB presses on my squat days. I have not worked up to benches yet. I’m only at 27.5 on the DBs so far. Not sure when it’s appropriate to switch to benches. Thanks Ducky![/quote]
I guess I meant more of a making sure to include upper body work (horizontal and/or vertical pushes, to give your legs and butt a rest if needed. DB presses are totally legit though. (If you’re interested in, and able to do 27.5x2’s that equals 55lbs for both arms, so even if you just did bar weight (45lbs) for reps, because you can co-ordinate with both hands, it should be a fair bit easier for you. Without a spotter you trust, you can even do them in the power rack with the pins set so the bar doesn’t crush into you(I’m thinking down the road here)

I’m sure I could bench the 45 without trying very hard, to be honest. My arms together are much stronger. I didn’t put all of my work out in here, Ducky, because I have a log in PW and I figure no one wants to read that stuff. I do seated rows, lat pull downs, etc. But I think you’re saying don’t do deads or squats again in the same week, right? I appreciate your comments.

I am curious if you come with a hand crank or a pull string to wind you up. I know that it’s as mean as when we used to spin and spin and spin one of my uncle’s terriers on the hardwood floor, and then getting him to try to charge at us while he’s still got the spins, but you manage to remain genuinely funny while going off.
FTR, I think about 25% of trainers are useful to their clients, 50% - other than getting clients to schedule gym time, are a break even investment, and the last 25 are the ones who deserve to catch a dime-discus or two off the back of the skull.
