Eventually Stop Using TRT, However...

I started using TRT when I was 23. My levels were 180 without it, I immediately was prescribed cypionate injections and after a few months, got on a steady dose prescribed by my endocrinologist. 100mg every 7 days.

It has been about 9 months of injections now and my levels on day 4 are about 550.

I have always, ALWAYS been morbidly obese, my entire life. I have had extensive bloodwork and vitals done, ultrasounds, nearly every test a doctor can do for health purposes and the doctors have always said how surprised they are that everything is running perfectly. I am extremely healthy and my thyroid, kidney function, everything is in working order and doing great. I am not at risk for diabetes either, which surprised me. I am now 24, 5’11" and when I started going to the gym a couple of months ago, I weighed 415 pounds.

I am now down to 370 pounds through hardwork and a full life-style and healthy eating change. I feel great on the TRT and eating healthy isn’t so bad at all.

With all that being said, my ultimate goal is to get down to 185-200 pounds. I’ve never wanted anything more in my life and I’m on my way to achieving that goal. However, I don’t want to have to use TRT forever.

If my low T is caused by my obesity, is it possible in 1-2 years from now when I hit my goal, that my natural T levels can raise to 550ish without TRT and I can stop the injections?

Currently at a very high weight and very high body-fat %, my levels would be 180 without Testosterone, 550 on day 4, and if I dropped 200+ pounds I’m wondering if I could stop using testosterone injections and just naturally produce enough on my own.

Maybe there’s a way I can use other methods to naturally boost testosterone as well in a year from now once I lose a lot of weight?

Any help or advice would be extremely appreciated, my ears are open.

Thank you.

There is no way to know for sure BUT after 2.5 yes of TestCyp usage I took 6 months off and my T levels went from 300 to 498 so it can happen. Im 51 by the way.

When I stopped for 5 months after being on gel for 10 years my T was 90. Was around 300 before stating TRT. Was 30 years old at the time. I’m not sure what you are thinking is gonna work out. What is your E2 level? If your T is low because of being so overweight it would probably be because of high E2. And if that were the case, I would have got on an AI to lower your Estradiol and see if your T goes up from there. Longer your on replacement less chance of producing normal levels without it. Love to know how thing turn out. Keep up the good work. Good luck.

Alright cool, thanks guys.

I don’t know what my E2 levels are, I’m getting a bunch of bloodwork done today though.
