Evan's Training

What do those meals look like?

I like Kant bc of his non consequential ethics, which is a precursor to laws - intentions not results

I’m in on this. Great work in here! You’re strong as hell and 4 months younger than me. I need to step it up

3.29.11

Seated Leg Curl (15-20 seconds rest)
3 x 12 (long stretch at the top) + 30 half reps + 10 5 seconds negatives

Front Squats (heels elevated, no lockout, continuous) (30 seconds rest)
225 x 10
275 x 8, 8
225 x 12

Walking Dumbbell Lunge/Leg Press (3/4 continuous) (30 seconds rest between supersets)
45 x 25 steps/5 pps x 8
45 x 25 steps/5 pps x 8
45 x 25 steps/5 pps x 8

Had to just hammer it quickly and then get out. Front squats felt good, superset was brutal despite the weights being low since rest was minimal.

@ Heracles: Thanks bro! I will be going for 650 soon. I’ll try and hit it early in my workout instead of last like I normally do.

@ hiss: I’ll post my food log tomorrow, but they primarily are a combination of a protein/fat/carb including but not limited to: protein powder, peanut butter, almond butter, mixed nuts, greek yogurt, chicken breast, lean ground beef, olive oil, brown rice, brown rice pasta, and oats.

@ Ashy: Thanks brotha! Thanks for the comments and stopping in.

Evan - congrats - look at link. This means if you ever want to work directly with me…you have a free 12 weeks…keep up the good work…!

Flat Dumbbell DC Stretch
65 x 75 seconds

Standing Dumbbell Lateral Raises (ultra-strict form, continuous)/Standing Rope Crunches
25 x 8, 8, 8, 8 drop to 20 x 6 to 10 x 15
4 x 8, 8, 8, 8

Seated Rope Delt Pull
4 x 12, 12, 12, 12

Delt Destroyer
60 x 60 to 30 x 30 to 15 x 10 full reps

Dumbbell Hammers/Dumbbell Palms-Forward Curls (3 seconds negative, continuous, 15 seconds rest between all)
25 x 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10

Awesome overall chest/shoulder day. I am going to start doing biceps more often, up to 3 times/week and begin including heavier ab training every day. The 315 x 3 isn’t bad on bench press, but I would like to increase that. I will make an effort to work on flat pressing for the next 6-8 weeks.

Bring back the food log!

Haha allright I’ll start posting my meals on a more regular basis, starting tonight.

You and I both need to get our bench presses back.

Hahah, totally agree. I am going to prioritize it for the next two months and see what I can do. My problem always is that I don’t give it the time it needs to improve.

Yeah. Last year during my last big strength push, Just kept hitting bench week in, week out. I think I got to 315x11 or so around the time I smoked 405.

Luvin.

Hey man,

What does the delt destroyer involve - do you have a vid plz?

Do you include pauses often in your pressing?

Congratulations on your selection for ‘client of the month’ on MDD.com - really looking forward in seeing the progress.

@ Bug: Ya, I’d like to get to 315 x 10 in the future. I think that I have 5-6 in me right now, just need to get used to the movement again, and then the rest is needed strength : ).

@ Undecimber: I do include a good deal of paused pressing in my training, especially with a 3/4 lockout. I really think they are great for strength and muscle growth. Thanks for the comment! Right now JM and I are not working together, but it’s definitely I’d love to do in the future.

Here’s a video of the delt destroyer:

Cool, thanks for the vid - I had a feeling it would be a Meadow’s creation.

I haven’t done many pauses before - it’s always been touch’n’go kind of thing, but a new routine I’m trying out requires alot of paused reps. So I’m looking forward to giving it a go.

I’m definetly going to give the paused Close Grip BP with a 3/4 lockout a run as well.

Very inspiring shoutout, JM. We are lucky to have people like you around here.

Evan,

I like Schoepenhauer, Paine, and Krishnamurti.

Looking great, buddy.
