Estrogen Reading? Labs

Hi All,

I’ve come off TRT 9 weeks ago.
Oestradiol is measured at 70
Which i believe and have been advised is
19 pg/mL.
The reference ranges given on some sources are between 10-40 picograms.

So is the above considered low in estrogen?
If so how bad, is there ways of increasing this without a dr as they are pretty much useless?

The other labs checked are:

LH: Serum LH level (XM0lv) 1.5 iu/L [1 - 9]
FSH/Serum follicle stimulating hormone level (XM0lx) 3.8 iu/L [1 - 9]
SHBG: 13 Male reference range (15 - 113)
Oestradiol: 70 (Dr didnt say what reference this was but previously measured in pmol/L so I’m guessing this is the same!).
Testosterone: NA! (Useless as this was missed off and getting tested next week)
Thyroid/Serum thyroid peroxidase antibody concentration (XabCy) < 28 kU/L [< 100]
Prolactin/Serum prolactin level (XaELX) 176 mu/L [< 550]

Any ideas/discussion of the above labs so far?

The estrogen value and symptoms (hot flashes) provide insight into how bad those levels are. Remember, that estrogen value was 2 week ago, and the estrogen will fluctuate within a 24 hour period, which is why your symptoms of hot flashes are coming and going.

The question you should be asking, who is the population being tested to arrive at these reference ranges, adult men, and or prepubertal boys?

If so, you can hardly apply these ranges to adult men.

The hot flashes are not as much now tbh, it’s more aches within legs and fatigue thats bothering me and slight vertigo at times.

Ok thanks, will nolvadex increase this at all or just stop conversion from testosterone to estrogen? What is the advice on how to increase this please without a doc? Plenty of healthy fats etc?

Ok, what ranges should we be looking at for adult males approx in your opinion pls??

Any thoughts on these remaining labs?
Should i be requesting another estrogen check while next checking bloods to see if it has increased from 2 weeks ago at all?

That’s unmistakably low-T. You may be able to increase T naturally by lifestyle changes.

This is what some of the leading doctors in the field of TRT recommend → 20-50 pg/mL.

@systemlord

Or can anyone else help please??

Please can you respond to below:

Thank you, what would you suggest to increase testosterone and estrogen naturally?

I’ve heard anything that would boost testosterone would have an impact on estrogen negatively, so how do we resolve this issue? Or is this nonsense? And they would both increase simultaneously?

Woukd you suggest to start nolva for a few weeks?

I’ve just realised the date the bloods were taken were 7 weeks (since last Sust injection) not 9, I’m having bloods done next week which will be 10 weeks so hopefully I’ll see some change by then… I’m hoping at the 3 month mark levels are increasing?

I’ve not trained/been to gym in months, just walks, so as when my aches go a little would you suggest, to start slowly training again… I.e press ups, light gym work etc… or is this a danger of injury?.

Woukd you suggest to start nolva for a few weeks? Would this have an impact now?

Much appreciated :pray:t4:

Hi All,
I’m back! After 6 months of being off TRT as had major side effects and was a stupid dosage protocol! I came off using HCG as Dr just left me to cold turkey with no help whatsoever…

My results have come back as follows:

If follow thread up, you can see my previous results…

The results are now:

These were fasted bloods at 9am

Oestradiol(extractn) 103 pnmol/L <150
So at least this has increased from 70 last time! Is this too high or too low?

Ill post screenshot of bloods…
Please let me know your thoughts, LH, FSH? Prolactin? Too high? How do i get these down if so?

I know Vit D is low, but theres no bloody Sun in the UK, just turning to spring now, im taking supplements 2000iu EOD, ALT levels are a little high… im having LFTs repeated bloods for liver tests for this, does repeated HCG affect this at all? (Which i had months ago).

Feeling jittery and horrid in the mornings and on edge, would fish oil help? Im eating 3 x eggs per day. Trying to eat cleaner too.

Bloody NHS Endo has said to lose weight and do IF and test would increase, but i think its not just fat but estro sides or something, i’m back at gym after months off and now back walking everyday… but bones hurt etc so its difficult.

He says everything else is fine .

Test was 9.6, then 10.9, now 12.4 as you can see but that was 9am this time…

Additionally:
SHBG was 16
HA1bc was 27

Please analyse bloods and let me know your thoughts if possible much appreciated!

This is terrible! No FT measurement. Your bones hurt because your vitamin D is low and that affects the absorption of calcium as well as many other vitamins. You probably have lower back pain as well.

A TT at 357, venous leakage, internal penis damage risk <400 and and metabolic risk <450! Losing weight isn’t going to get you healthy youthful hormones, you’ll still be stuck with suboptimal levels.

Thank you @systemlord try explaining that to the bloody endo! Bloody useless! I cant afford to go private just yet! So not sure what else i can do, any ideas?

I’m taking Vit D supplements now and the sun is coming back now so hopefully should increase gradually, is there anything/other vits I should take at same time to aid absorption? Vit D is mixed with olive oil to aid absorption already but thats it? Should I be taking magnesium, zinc etc, I’ve started eating pumpkin seeds which are meant to be good for all 3 of these??

I’m also getting my sleep back right now…

He calculated my FT somehow

, dont know what method he’s used, does LH, FSH, E2, SHBG, Prolactin (which seems high) sound OK?..

Eat a meal with lots of fats, animal fat is prefered, because vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin/hormone.

@systemlord thanks, which animal fat is best? As an example please? How about pork sausages, grilled bacon, or chicken or beef bone broth?? At the moment, I’ve started eating it after my almond nut butter on sourdough toast as thats a healthy fat? However, this may be why its not absorbing properly? And levels are down? I’ve started eating 3 eggs EOD too :+1:t4:

Did you ever recover
