I pin MWF at 50mg T (total 150mg T weekly) and it gets my Free and Total T at optimal levels, and take Anastrozole at 1.5mg/week in equal doses. My E2 levels went from 50 to 21.
However, doc now wants my levels ‘above 30’ and that I should cut back on the AI. They cite optimum heart health for men requires above 30.
I think it’s fair to say that the stickies on this forum and Life Extension disagree with that advice.
Looking at this article from Life Extension
they recognize a conflicting study, which must be the study my doc is basing his E2 view on. “This study nonetheless was used at the anti-aging conference to proclaim that estradiol protects against heart attack.46”
What do you guys think, is my doc basing his protocols too much on 1 study? Have some of you guys gone over 30 and felt like crap? I really don’t feel any different at 50 v. 21 to be honest.
I think long term I’m going to be fighting with my doc to let me keep my E2 levels in the 20-30 range as they will cut back on my Anastrozole script to get my E2 levels down. I have Liquidex as well so I can self-supplement.
