This drunken turd brings in shit tons of profit for CBS, because his character is him. A drunken, drug addicted, womanizing prick is the perfect character for Sheen, it’s him to the core. He doesn’t need much practice, other than reading his lines, and I would be willing to bet he could improv really well.
People are in shock about what he says, but he holds the trump card, because if they replace him, the show tanks, and everyone knows it. The network knew this shit was happening, but as long as Sheen would continue to show up and work, they turned a blind eye to his bullshit. Now, his meltdown is complete.

This begs the question, why all of a sudden are they shutting down taping after 7+ seasons?

Because he has been talking major shit about his bosses, and you never rub another man’s rhubarb.
It doesn’t make sense, if my main guy was pulling in major numbers and profits for me with the no. 1 comedy on TV that he leads I, as a greedy CBS/Warner executive, wouldn’t mind him calling me profanities, punching and kicking me and/or banging my wife.
One of the main possibilities is Chuck Lorre’s and the studio executives’ hubris where they think they can ultimately not suffer too much loss and transition from “Men” to the other hit shows like “Big Bang Theory.” Maybe they don’t think Sheen is stable so better to shut the curtain now rather than later. Regardless they could still use “Men” as a cash cow. So then why go all ‘this one over that’ when you can have ‘this and that’?

pfft, the show went on hiatus before he made those comments.
Check out wikipedia and read his comments on 9/11.
After listening to the Stern interview, I’m now a Charlie Sheen fan. Not a fan of his work, but I dig his attitude.
I think I have this figured out now:
As we all now, nobody could take all of Charlie Sheen, because then your face would fall off and your children would weep over your exploded head.
Therefore, we must ask ourselves, how can Charlie Sheen handle so much awesomness? Obviously he has tiger blood and adonis genes which helps but every now and then he needs to get rid of at least some of it or else he could become a danger to himself and others. Therefore, he distributes it liberally between hookers and pornstars. This is in fact a necessity, because no untrained woman could handle even a small dose of the Sheen, he needs trained and eager professionels.
These are not the decadent debaucheries of an overpaid high school dropout, these are the spiritual, if not medical, needs of a demigod.
This also explains why he lives together with several women, because if he has at least three around nobody gets more than one half of a Sheen at any given time even if one of them is otherwise engaged and one half of a Sheen is really all a healthy human being can safely handle.
Anyone else feel they shouldn’t have taken his children away? Regardless of what we all think, all we see is what he allows the public to see and that is not necessarily a direct reflection on his relationship with his children. He could be a great father and I didn’t see any evidence of child abuse or anything that would warrant taking his children away.

Maybe it was the very things that we didn’t see, are what made them take his kids away from him.
Given his present behavior and lifestyle, would you be ok with him raising YOUR kids?

Possibly. But without seeing it, who are WE to claim he shouldn’t be able to see them?
That’s an unfair comparison. There are between 6 and 7 billion people on this planet I would not want raising my kids. That doesn’t automatically mean they are unfit to raise their own children. ![]()

I just wanted to bust your balls being a new parent ![]()
BTW, sorry for being serial. I’m having just as much fun watching Charlie as everyone else, I promise.
I don’t get it. Why are they now zeroing in on CS when he’s been drugging and fugging for years? His behaviour was out in the open way before he did 2.5 men.

This is why to me it appears Charlie Sheen is not in the wrong. The show is in its 8th season. Why are they confronting him now? Is it really about his personal life, or something else?
I love all the douche posts - “I’d rather be a good a dad than Charlie the rock star” ha ha ha! Of course you would douche! With no other choice that’s your tiny brain protecting your tiny ego.
Now go lay down with your ugly wife and ugly children - Charlie

Charlie Sheen = Man of the year.
