Engineering Intern Summer Program

@Californiagrown @mnben87 @cyclonengineer

What pay range would you expect for a summer job?
CG - company makes ww clarifier components.

Has the complexity of waste water clarifier components increased much from the 20th Century clarifiers? Those seemed fairly simple to find correct design for the waste water load, and materials and their manufacturing were pretty straight forward.

Maybe complexity has greatly increased.

They are more complicated for the mind to process only because the main engineer has been with the company for 50 years lol.

Seriously though - no. We are needing someone that can move the computational charts into a spreadsheet format where quoting means inputting a handful of numbers, rather than scratching parameters on a pad and hand calculating.

That is my immediate need, with the hope that an interest in the design aspects might develop into a replacement for aforementioned elderly guy. Edit We are a manufacturer, not a design firm.

At my last place we had interns for the summers. I think pay was dependant on how many years of school they completed. I think it ranged from $20-$25/hr. That was medical device work in MN. I’m not sure what things are like in your area?

I know my company pays 20-25/hr for summer interns, no benefits though.
