Electoral Politics: A Losing Game

What was Henry Ford’s attitude with this when he instituted the assembly line?

Then, why should anyone work hard, if they are not going to partake in the production increase profits?

What are people entitled to because they were born?

Seedtime and harvest is all you are promised when you enter this earth.

And what are the people entitled to for the work you’ve done?

I think professor Richard Wolff is right when he speaks of worker co-ops. Democratize the enterprise!

You are entitled to the pay you agreed to work for, and nothing more.

A job and wage they agreed to voluntarily. They are free to do as they please or start their own business from nothing like I did.

Anything else is just whining nobody cares about. Welcome to life.

In this country?

Apparently an arsenal that would make John Rambo blush.

Nothing is stopping workers from starting their own businesses.

Again, when you are given the choice of starvation and homelessness, you really don’t have a choice at all. Desperation is where they want the work force. So they can take advantage of them.

And the unionization of the workforce is a start.

No, welcome to capitalism. We can do better.

Nah, you still have to pay good money for that too.

How many hours are they working? 40? Are they trying to advance their skills? Education?

I rarely see anyone that is busting their ass every day and striving to do better stay in a situation like you describe.

@castoli is only interested in equity of outcome, regardless of what seeds are planted, how the ground is cared for, how the plants are watered, or how the weeds were dealt with, they just want to reap the same harvest as the person who actually tends to the seeds they sowed.

Towards starting their own businesses?

My salary doubled for 2-3 years. That is no excuse. I have a second hand HTC phone. My wife cooks and we buy promotions only as food and of course discounted meat from her father who farms beef, rabbits and etc. We have no netflix or spotify subs. We rarelly dine out, my wife is an amazing cook anyway and she loves cooking.

See when I was 25 I sat down and said I need where to live. I went abroad, found a job where I had living costs covered as a hotel receptionist and worked my ass for 6 years. Came back to home town with money to buy an apartment. I was not partying, eating out, did not even had a smart phone. No phone at all. I was freaking saving.

Then I sat down and said I need a good job and a car. 5 years later I purchased a brand new car. Keep in mind I do not earn much. I just dont spend money for useless stuff.

I am purchasing garage and farming land next. I would like when I retire to have properties and land for my children so they can have some generation wealth in their hands, so they can concentrate in developing businesses and etc.

Unions are great for that.

Do you believe what you are describing is the majority of the people?

And when have I said this?

I can’t accurately answer that question as I don’t know the majority of people.

But, I can say people are generally lazy and think they should make it while doing the bare minimum and existing. This isn’t anything new to human behavior.

They are great for balancing out power so you won’t be as easily exploited by your employer.
