Electoral Politics: A Losing Game

One could make a good argument the EIC and similar is subsidizing the labor cost for companies and corporations.

Taxation is theft…

The Truth About Frivolous Tax Arguments — Section I (D to E) | Internal Revenue Service (irs.gov)

This has always cracked me up. The federal government will go to any length to make sure they can tax you in every way possible and then turn around and spend your money trillions into the red while blaming tax payers.

Next they will print money and devalue your currency.

I fucking hate the federal government and the IRS and federal reserve.

In many cases those programs do. I am in support of the EIC though, even expanding it. I like that it incentivizes people to earn more to receive more.

Oh for wayyyy too long for sure.

Exactly.

Read Stephanie Kelton.

They rarely do that any longer. Money is marked up in an account by the key stroke of a computer.

True.

When it’s either the shitty money they pay or starve, do you honestly have a choice?

This is right where they want you. They try and marginalize you.

I see a bit of truth to it, but see your point as well.

You might need that job now, and have to accept shitty pay. Most will be able to work up to more pay in some way or another. Not everyone has the capability to do much though. Some people are really only capable of low end jobs, I don’t think we should see these people as being drags on society or what not if they are trying.

How so?

Yeah, you wouldn’t want the public to get what they want. Keep letting the 1% get everything. Greed knows no bounds.

Sounds like a talking point from that jerkoff Rick Scott.

I have a simple solution, just let’em die.

Wouldn’t having a document like the constitution make the US system not a ā€œtrue democracyā€ even if we just decided issues with a majority vote?

I am in support of having some sort of document like the constitution. Sometimes the majority isn’t right. Sometimes the majority wants to violate rights I believe in.

Welcome to the wonderful world of capitalism.

I suppose Scott stole that from a time where there was an honestly understood work ethic.
