Are you sure they aren’t using it for stock buybacks?
Exactly, the can do nothing right government. Corporations typically bad-mouth the government until they need help, then they change their tune very quickly. They crawl over broken glass with their hands out begging for some money. This is when all those campaign donations come into play.
And jobs are created through demand. People have to want the product or service. if not, there wouldn’t be a point in scaling up.
I think I have personal income solution that pure MMT would allow:
Everyone gets a living wage of $10,000 per month. As inflation increases, by the same percentage, so would your government living wage.
So, no matter the inflation, your living wage would keep pace.
If you get bored, pick a hobby, formally known as a job.
Welcome to the Country of Eden! Where MMT is the Money Tree of Life
Let me see how. America has the highest GBP in the world. Top 5 of the highest salaries in the world.
Gen Z ofcourse will head to be poorer than ever. Playstations, avocado, arts degree, woke mentality and lazyness. What do you expect?
I work wirh few gen Z. They have equal opportunity as me in our company. They can work hard and make some money. A couple of them went to 4 hour shifts, because even a 4 hour shift makes you self sustainable in our company. They are very incompetent and still have no clue what they are doing.
I am a milenial and I never ate an avocado in my life. Not paying for an overpriced food. You may as well buy 1kg meat at the price of 1kg avocado. In other words gen Z cares about everything but their wealth.
I have a feeling it has a lot more to do with tuition and housing costs. Those things are at least double in my area from when I was early 20s a decade ago. Wages have not kept up with these expenses. Young people now maybe make a few bucks more an hour than when I was that age, but so many things have gotten expensive.
This is true to an extent, but you also have so many more “necessary expenses”. (Not taking into account the massive inflation and prices increases on everything here recently)
Cable / internet
Newest cell phone
Eating out
Newer car
Amazon
Frivolous spending
I see a huge entitlement issue where young people think they should step out of their parents house or school with little to ZERO skills and automatically have everything established people have making good money.
I have heard, “must be nice” about things I have ad nauseum. It is like anything I guess all you see is the fruit - never all the heard work and sacrifice that went into producing it.
