A view that is proven and accepted by all respected economists.
Your economists are like the Alex Jones of economics. Interesting, but at the end of the day everyone is laughing at them.

Wow another history lesson on the dollar that doesn’t essentially address what gives value to a fiat currency.
How so?
Again nothing.
So if you pay an attorney to keep you out of prison, is there no value in that? Have you just wasted your money?
And if ONLY the U.S. dollar can be used to pay taxes doesn’t that fact bestow value on it?
To be fair, Alex Jones was actually right about some stuff. Buy yes, everyone is still calling him (and MMT economists) total loons.
No doubt. He called the pedophilia ring / Epstein stuff 20 years ago.
MMT has a few valid specific points, but it does not work in reality.
I can make the choice not to pay taxes knowing the potential consequences. Again, threat of violence does not incur value.
If someone threatens you does that mean that person is suddenly worth something? This is the logic you are attempting to hang your hat on.
What gives the crypto you likely trade in inherent value? Nothing. Same with the dollar. It has no inherent value.
Wow, another statement. Your looking better and better.
Once again folks, we have another statement with no proof. Just that it isn’t the orthodoxy view.
So keeping yourself out of prison is of no value? It may not be intrinsic value, but it is valuable not to be in prison. We are talking a fiat currency here. We haven’t been on a gold-standard since 1971 when Nixon took us off it.
I am cool with you thinking what you want. It hasn’t worked out well for you in life and you aren’t paying me so….
You are completely and wholly irrelevant.

I still don’t see living my life like MMT were true would make any difference in the outcome of life.
This looks solely like an academic discussion of no practical benefit, except to boost the fragile ego of @castoli and validate his existence as a contributor of society (though it doesn’t.)
I think that if MMT were implemented in totality, we would be a socialist state within minutes. Within those same minutes, the middle class would have evaporated, the lower class is now the middle class, and everyone that wasn’t rich is now poor. The rich would be more powerful for sure though.
The rich would stay rich though, as is the case with virtually every socialist state throughout history.
*you’re
And what about a socialist society as opposed to the state?
Thanks, English teacher.
No it is you who doesn’t know it’s meaning.
