I dont think the republicans losth the poor. The Democrats are the ones who want to put everyone on welfare. The Republicans Want to give you a paycheck not a welfare check. I am not saying that the Republicans do not help out the rich in fact they do, but people need to realize that the rich make jobs, so in a way the Republicans are helping the poor while the dems are hurting them. Give a man a fish he will eat for a day teach a man to fish he will eat for a life time. Also if the dems keep taxing the rich more and more like they would like to. The rich will say screw it and either cut jobs to make up for the tax or just close up all together. [/quote]

Oh if i could go back to when I was naive. Here goes, Pelosi said that the best job creator was an unemployment check. You say the wealthy do not create jobs the business does, well who owns the business the poor man on unemployment or a wealthy person? I did not say low taxes create jobs, although they do, but I said if the rich business owners have an increase in taxes they would more than likely cut a few jobs to make up that loss. There for loosing more jobs. I dont have time at work, but later I will try to post some links for you to back up my point.

Your assumption that because you changed your mind equates to a higher level of understanding is not ,in my opinion , correct.
What Pelosi meant was if you give a poor man $500 he will spend it , that in turn will keep store keepers employed , truck drivers employed , manufacturers employed . Where if you give a rich man $500 he will save it .
Business is owned by all different types of people . I over the course of my life have owned 5 businesses . I currently am looking at another business .

My opinion the wealthy are selling a mind set that benefits them a great deal and sell it to the masses as being what is best for all.
I did not change my mind, I have always been conservative, I have however over the years gotten a better understanding of the BS both sides play. Yes, the tax cuts were in place when the recession happened, I am not arguing that. I am just saying that in this current recession if we give the rich a tax hike then in my opinion they will cut a job or two to recoup the loss. I have owned 2 business’s, my have has one, and my dad has had 3. If you have owned any you know your self that you can only absorb so many cost’s before you cut jobs or raise prices, and it is hard to raise prices and stay competitive. Maybe we will just have to agree to disagree.
