Eat As I Say, Not As I Eat

Is your wife a public role model for millions of children? No? Oh okay.

Kids, do drugs and you can be just like George Bush Jr!

There’s no end to your hate is there?

I agree, but it is the fact that she has been preaching so much about fast food lately especially fries. She wants people to pay etra for stuff like that. If you are that much against it, then practice what you preach.[/quote]

Unless what you are preaching is that it should be an occasional splurge which increased prices would encourage. Whether you consider it fascist or overhanded is another issue. But there is no inherent contradiction or hypocrisy here.

Did she outline some special diet we’re all supposed to be on?

As far as I know the Obama’s haven’t drunk the Dr. Ornish cool-aid (like the Clintons) and aren’t running around advocating a low-fat, plant-based diet.

Or is the OP really suggesting that a cheeseburger from a local joint is one of the most unhealthy things one can eat?

"The Let’s Move campaign is “not about saying no to ice cream and french fries. Having a piece of cake at a birthday party is fine, she says, as long as the majority of a day’s intake is healthy.”

She has never advocated for an absolute prohibition. She has ALWAYS pushed for making healthier choices and junk in moderation. End thread.

Well gee, that makes it a less exciting (non)gotcha moment. Let’s find some way to ignore this.

the worst thing in “french fries” is not the fries, it’s the french.

another proof that the republicans were right all along : the democrats are actually trying to turn your country into mine !

With American Politicians raising the level of hypocrisy to heights never before seen…this “AH-HAH!” moment with Mrs. Obama barely even registers…

Maybe you missed the fact that every first lady takes up a cause. Michelle Obama’s cause is childhood obesity. She travels the country talking about what foods kids should eat and why fast food should be avoided.

Don’t make me dig up quotes where she is talking down fast food and talking up fruits and vegetables.

She is most definitely a hypocrite.

Yes please dig up the quote where she says no one should eat burgers and fries ever. That would certainly make her a hypocrite.

Thanks.

Better do it. Find me one where she says it should be avoided at all costs as opposed to enjoyed in moderation but not as a dietary staple (as it is for too many of America’s use). You are way smarter than this Zeb. Don’t let your partisianship blind you to all common sense and the fact that her position has been internally and externally consistent all along.

Also, please try to negate the verbatim quote from the link I posted above.

From June 2009: “I love french fries: my favorite food,” she said. “That’s part of what we try to teach our kids. It’s not about never, ever. There are some people who make that choice. We’re not one of those. I love food. It’s really about balance and choices.”

From July 2010: “It’s not about saying no to ice cream or French fries and the things people love because no one could sustain that. We talk about them as special treats.”

She has a huge fat ass. Anyone that takes diet recommendations from her is a fool. Ugliest first lady since Babs Bush.

Game, set, match.

That, I don’t disagree with.

Threads like this are pathetic.

But then, I guess Super-T is what you get when real debate dies.

Well, the politics forum has really become a circle jerk of extremists. Why not add inanity to the mix?
