E2 is 65. How to Lower It?

I had the same issues around 6 months. It all worked itself out. HCT got high and I was noticing some fatigue, palpitations when I would wake up. Solution was to increase my water intake to thin out my plasma and HCT came down as I raised my TRT dose to 220mg/wk. All of those symptoms are adjustment periods for me. I dont think this warranted an AI. It can be scary to think that you’re causing CV damage due to T intake, but you’re actually protecting it with higher levels of E.

I can’t keep it up long enough for sex to finish. I get about 10 or 20 pumps and its gone for the night. Viagra and Calais only help slightly.

So taking an AI has helped this issue for you or does it continue no matter what?

Dude I just kind of feel like a shell of myself and can barely give it my 100% through out the day. It’s scary to imagine going through 6 months of it. I haven’t been on an AI all through out my TRT journey which is coming up to only 1 year, so I know there have been months and months of the same. I am just not sure I will see the light at the end of the tunnel. What is your injection frequency and may it be a good idea to just go low dose like 100mg a week and titrate up.

I understand where you’re coming from. Its not a good place to be. I started at 160mg/wk, then 140mg/wk and life sucked for the most part. So I said fuck it! Went straight to 200mg and in days I felt better. I inject daily. So I dont really experience trough. If high E is an issue, try EOD or daily. We all go through rough patches of course.

Interesting so increasing the dose actually improved the symptoms rather than exacerbated?

Splitting up your dose is good start.

You could also take steps to make sure your body is properly processing estrogens. I take DIM, Calcium d-Glucarate and TUDCA.

You could also test Progesterone and treat if low. It balances estrogen in women and mine was low, so I added transdermal Progesterone to get me to the top of the range.

These are the thing I do to stay off an AI. I had a really hard time dialing in an AI, and was really worried about it going too low with small doses.

It was no fun getting off it. Weight gain and crazy anxiety, which I’m no stranger to. When it was really bad, I took a very small dose of anastrozol and quickly felt better. Maybe 0.2mg? That’s all I needed to get over the hump.

I used the same method to get off an SNRI (poison). Used a very small dose when symptoms were unbearable. The time between doses got longer, until I didn’t need it.

You still need to ride it out when it’s just uncomfortable, or you’ll never get off it.

Correct. Higher dose put me in a better place. The only real drawback is that my libido jumped into overdrive and I have been caught staring into cleavages, and although its always resulted in some good interactions, I dont think its appropriate even if Im confident that its no big deal. Some will scoff at the idea of a higher dose, but Im looking for symptom resolution, not number goals. Low doses simply dont cut it for me at this point in my life. I do hope to get away with using half my dose as I get older though. When getting your T dialed in, be sure to only take T. No AI and if you need HCG in your system, wait till youve got your TRT stabilized.

What scares me is how supposedly TRT can exacerbate heart problems, trying to think that’s not it.

On the contrary, heart issues can occur due to a drop in healthy levels of androgens. Its good to inform yourself. We all have that concern, due to the amount of death you see from the bodybuilding community when running Supra high doses long term. But you’re not anywhere near that level of commitment to die just to look that good. At this point in your life a Cardiologist should be a part of your medical crew anyway. I will admit, last year I was scared from radiating pain in my left arm and checked myself into the ER. My problem was not my heart it was my arm. I was using my left arm to get out of my car since I didnt want to wear the seat bolster everytime I stepped out of a low car. Pretty silly, but gave me a scare. If I drink alcohol and dont hydrate, Ill get palpitations, but I remember getting palpitations before TRT because I was not in good health to begin with. Take it slow. You have the rest of your life to figure it out. Wean yourself off if you feel the need to slow it down even more. I quit the AI cold turkey but I was only about 2 months in when I began to really understand how I could simplify things.

Do we have any data that this actually happens? A permanent suppression of aromatase enzyme due to chronic AI use?

Not doubting you, genuinely interested if this has been documented.

So far no improvement but it’s only been 7 weeks. My T actually went down a little dr. Says that can happen initially as the body adjusts. He increased the T dosage and gave me estrogen inhibitor drug. We’ll see–

I have zero documentation, at the moment and all I have is what Ive seen in forums, and lists of permanent side effects which essentially lead to the fact that it will affect the endocrine system permanently. There are those out there who didnt have an aromatase issue pre TRT, but have developed an undetectable E level while on TRT with the use of an AI. They quit the AI and nothing is reversed. Does this mean it will happen to everyone? Absolutely not, but I definitely dont want to find out that Im one of those guys. Anastrozole manufactures also state on their sites that its not meant to be used long term. They know what it does and what it will do if taken for a prolonged period. Armed with this type of info, all you can do is take it and see where it takes you or simply not take it. I realize that we are here to help each other out, if you really have to take an AI, I cant argue with that.

If things dont improve, consider bimix or trimix. You will have amazing 2 hour boners and be able to finish a couple of times if your partner is cool with it. Just dont slip into depression thinking your sex days are over.

Cardiovascular benefits of TRT:
Decreased visceral fat.
Improved insulin sensitivity.
Improved lean muscle mass.
Weight loss.
Improved lipid profiles.

How much viagra or cialis you take?

You can take up to 20mg at once of cialis. Should last 2 days.

OR

up to 100mg v at once.

But your right if you hormones are messes up, they may not work.

That’s a convincing argument not to use an AI for extended periods, for sure

I ve tried all the doses. The 100 mg of viagra was the best. I’m sure once my T get over 600 things will improve.

Thanks. I hope it doesn’t come to that as I’m only 51 years old. I’ve recently lost 50 lbs. and workout daily. I thought that would help.

The thing is I tried almost everything and just recently now severely reduced the dose. I tried ED/EOD and it didn’t sit well with me. E2 was 47 back then.

I am trying again but with a total weekly dose of 126.
