E Crashed, Doc Taking Me Off Anastrozole

So I need some advice and guidance as I am freaking out a little. For the past few months I have been feeling like shit. Went in for blood work and my e levels were so low they didn’t register on my blood work. The doctor wants to take me off of Anastrozole to get my e levels back up.

I inject .5 test and .25 Anastrozole twice a week. Also HCG.

I’ve read that I will have some sort of rebound but what does that mean? What can I expect?

You can expect to feel a lot better in about two weeks. Rebound is a head game mostly. If you worry yourself to death about it you’ll have anxiety issues.

2-4 weeks to recover. May have a period of rebound… it will pass. Ignore it, try to forget what “e2 symptoms” are so you don’t constantly worry about it and put ideas into your head

You’ll feel better in a few weeks

Just curious… what are you experiencing when you say you feel like shit?

What’s the “rebound” part mean though…what may happen?

Some people say they get “high e2” symptoms for a bit as e2 is going back up, then it settles down after that. I haven’t personally been through it so that’s all I really know.

No energy, anxious, low sex drive and little motivation.

Easier said lol the issues I’m having right now is anxiety and low energy. Is that around how long it will take to bounce back? Will I have a period where my E goes wayyyy up briefly (read this has happened causing rage/irritability)?

You will get more energy, you may PMS briefly. It depends on you. Personally, I tanked mine and without labs would not have known. It came back, I didn’t notice a difference. It’s just healthier to be high than low. You may not have any negatives or rebound at all. Some guys talk themselves into it.

Thank you, I hope I don’t go through PMS.

Think of it as getting in touch with your feminine side if you do…

Haha

I had the same symptoms when my e2 crashed. It took about 2+ weeks to bounce back.

The rebound, I will never forget it. It made me go on daily injections and will never touch an AI again.

What were the symptoms you had?

It felt like I was having a heart attack, in that moment estrogen was higher than it was when I started taking the AI, but was short lived.

How short lived? And any like actual concerns to health during this period?

I never found out because I took the AI again and changed protocols which caused levels to start swinging, because levels were no longer stable, it was less pronounced. The new protocol was 7mg daily where before was 20mg EOD, less testosterone, less estrogen and therefore less rebound.

These AI’s can turn into vicious cycles trapping you in an endless loop, get out now while you can.

The more symptoms you read about the more you’ll likely have. I crashed my E2 and once it started coming back up I suffered from major libido, a ton more energy and I felt way better. It was horrible.

I appreciate the positivity, slightly less anxious about it now. Hopefully it comes and goes quickly looking forward to having energy and not being so anxious.
