I agree most will tell you that mixing and mastering should be done in a good room with good monitors. My son agrees as well. But he has an exceptionally good ear (also has perfect pitch), and never gets sound-drunk. I think this is how he can manage to produce pristine compositions on a sub-par set of speakers. I’m sure hell soon have top of the line everything.

That’s one of the big things I noticed with his stuff is that it sounds very “clean”. It’s interesting to hear you say that his ear has contributed to that. Lots of people don’t consider digital musicians to have any actual musical affinity!

Has he always had “perfect pitch”? I’ve only ever met one person who just had it, but I have met a few who spent many years training for it and eventually reached a level most would consider synonymous with perfect pitch. I view perfect pitch as more of a sliding scale than as an on/off switch.[/quote]

I agree. That would be like someone telling me I’m not an artist because I use the computer to make my art.

Yes, he’s had perfect pitch since he was little (studying classical piano under the Suzuki Method). He can hear any note and tell right away what it is.

I just found this not to long ago. I really love the violin and mixed with the dubstep.

This one is good as well.
