Only Right balls here.

Right nuts would have been a more appropriate term.

I saw this the other day:

Which I think basically means he is doing it to get money from the oil companies in exchange for drilling rights.

Nuclear while an option, is prohibitively expensive and since it was given up as a solution in the 70s or 80s, there is not the human resources, i.e. enough PHDs, scientists, and researches to implement it on a large scale.

We had the chance to go nuclear 40 years ago, it didn’t happen, and now a price will be paid.

I’d rather see us get oil from alaska or undersea which I don’t think fucks up anything then from foreign nations w/ less stringent environmental policies. Theres been a bunch of mining and drilling in South America, with hopelessly corrupt governments and no protective measures at all.

Basically, a bunch of toxic stuff comes out of the ground with whatever they are after that in a developed country will get pumped back into the ground which costs something. To save money, they just leave the crap out in the open or drain it into a river and end up poisoning a bunch a bunch of people, animals, and ecosystems. The absolute scumbag nature behind that type of behavior really pisses me off.

That said I saw something the other day where the military was developing mini reactors to power foreign military bases in the event that they could not get energy from elsewhere, specifically oil.
