Check out the dude playing Hercule.
I need Episodes 160-210. Japanese with English subtitles, preferably.
Any of you guys have those you could put on a file share site or something?

Ask Vash, I think he said he had some videos that he’ll have ready for upload in a week.

K, thanks
DBZ is probably the ONLY series I prefer in English than Japanese. I’ve seen it in both, but I think honestly the English voice actors got it right and Bruce Faulconer did one hell of a job on the soundtrack. Goku being high pitched in Japenese just doesn’t feel right to me.
There is a torrent floating around w/ all the DBZ English dub eps floating around on mininova I think.
Now I’m waiting for a naruto thread (not really).
“I eat chumps like you for a morning breakfast?”
Pure 4-tone synth melody?
Baddest Motherfucker in the Universe Ever Siriuscat voiced by a grandmother?
To hell with that.
Goku had the high voice because he was the eternal child. Frieza sounded like a real Bond villain. Vegeta never clarified the time of day during which he would have breakfast.
And yeah, I should have most of DBZ up in a torrent in the next week, maybe 2. I won’t include the episodes, though, that are super-washed, with little to no discernable color aside from white.
Ok, the only ones I really want to see are the last episodes of DBZ where they start fighting Kid Buu and kill him. I still have not seen them, and I have tried to look, but a lot of them have been taken down last time I checked. So, anyone wanna help a Ukrainian out?

Absolutely disagree. I have seen it in English a few times and I just can’t watch it till the end. The speaking patterns and choice of vocabulary and honorable speech(or total lack of it e.g. Goku, Vegeta doing the opposite and refering to himself in the honorable) gave each their own character. Goku never grew up, he spoke like a kid till the end. That and the characters and their voices and speech are firmly ingrained in Japanese pop culture.

Thanks a lot, Vash.
Those episodes from the Buu saga (specifically the tournament) have eluded my brother and I for quite some time.

The entire feel of the series is different when viewed in English. Much of the dialogue comes across wrong, and I think that is largely due to Funimation trying to put their spin on the story for whatever reason.

I might add you two to my friends’ list. True DBZ in this this bitch.
Vegeta was still one BAD motherfucka, even in the English version. I still can’t get that fight he had with Puipui out of my head.

WoW I guess im in the minority as far as the Freiza saga goes b/c I cant stand it again 68 episodes…get to the fucking point!! I didnt much like frieza as a Villain either. “lets get the Dragonballs and wish for immortality” come on guy how about an original thought hmm? Im glad they took the focus off the Dragondalls after that and Cell and Buu just wanted to break shit. I dont really have a fav saga but it ant Frieza’s.
And going back to the argument about Vegeta vs. Piccolo well you had to have seen Brolly: the Legendary Super Sayjin. In a nut shell Piccolo tells Vegeta if the has time to cry like a bitch he has time to fight.
AHHHHH Brolly…Now there is a villain for your ass!!!

Brolly owning Goku

Brolly…ya thats my bad mutha fucka
He bitched everyone in that movie, especially Goku and Vegeta. They all should have died.

I agree. The Japanese voice actors sound like a bunch of screech owls thrown in a box and shaken. It’s cool if folks like to listen to the the original cast, but me I’d rather scrape my ears off with a cheese grater.
Worst motivation for a villain in any medium ever, though.
